OUR BUSINESS HISTORY
International Cut Coins started in Sacramento, California, and has been creating cut coin jewelry by hand for over 35 years, with more than a quarter million pieces sold. Section 331, title 18 of the U.S. code, prohibits, among other things, the fraudulent alteration and mutilation of U.S. For example, it is illegal to alter the date, or mintmark of an inexpensive common coin so that it has the date and mintmark of a valuable rare coin. This statute does not prohibit the mutilation of coins if done without fraudulent intent, or if the coins are not used fraudulently. ABOUT OUR STAFF
We, Sid & Lee, started creating cut coin jewelry more than a quarter century ago in Sacramento California. We started at the local flea market, then to military bases, on to doing CB jambories, and graduated to art & craft shows in shopping malls, traveling the United States. While we were in the shopping malls, Lee learned to solder, so she can make cuff links, tie tacks, and she used to make buttons out of buffalo nickels. She also makes buckles, but cuff links are her favorite to make. We are now exhibiting our beautiful cut coins in out door craft shows and festivals, almost always in Florida. We love traveling to the beautiful little beach towns. We set up in the streets of the older downtown parts of town, where all the fun shops and restaurants are. Although the weather can be tricky, we love being outside in the fresh Florida air, in the midst of the festival atmosphere where people have gathered because that's where they want to be. WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
Coins have been used as jewelry for centuries. Our business takes this tradition to the next level. Each piece is individually created to enhance the beauty of the coin, and makes a perfect gift for any occasion. Besides necklaces, many of our hand cut coins, can be turned into earrings, tie tacs, cuff links, and belt buckles. International Cut Coins
