❄️🍷Winter Wine Tasting 🍷❄️
I’ve been wanting to check out Truro Vineyards on Cape Cod for the longest time and a cold day in January seemed like just the right time to make my first trip 😂🤷🏻‍♀️
While I’m sure it’s lovely to visit in warmer weather, a glass of red wine by an outdoor fire pit on a crisp, sunny winter day also hit the spot and made for a great socially-distant outdoor activity!

Golfing in December in New England? Yes, please! 🏌🏻‍♀️
This pic is from Sunday when it was sunny and 60 degrees. But I think it was the last round of the season since it’s 4 days later and there is currently a foot of snow on the ground. That’s New England (and 2020?) for ya! ⛳️❄️🤷🏻‍♀️

Does anyone recognize this street? It's highly likely you might because it is THE MOST PHOTOGRAPHED street in America! 🍂
Crazy, right? This tiny cobblestoned private lane is called Acorn Street and it epitomizes the quaint Boston neighborhood to which it belongs.
I've been lucky to call Beacon Hill home for 15 years and this little street and the charm of the neighborhood in general never fail to captivate me.

I present to you the tiniest glass of wine I've ever seen! Ok, so really it is a vial of wine but, semantics. 🍷
My mom, sister, and I recently took a little day trip to our local winery just outside of Boston. We each started with the Classic wine sampler (aka 5 tiny vials served in an adorable little box) and then picked our favorite of the bunch and ordered a bottle (or two or three) to share.
I was really impressed by the safety measures put in place by Nashoba Valley Winery. A reservation is needed to even visit and all the picnic tables and Adirondack chairs on the outdoor grounds are super spaced apart from each other. They also have contactless check-in and contactless ordering for all food and wine, and masks are required when not seated.
We try to make a trip to this winery every fall and I was so happy we were able to keep this tradition going in these crazy COVID times! It was a tiny little piece of normalcy and was much, much needed. 🍇

Fall Ball 🍂 ⛳ 🏌🏻‍♀️ 🍺 🍂

I've been playing golf since around the time I could walk. For me, the game of golf is synonymous with my Dad and the club he belonged to since 1956.

I've never taken a formal golf lesson but have been known to beat my Dad and his friends while playing from the "men's" tees. 💪🏻

I learned everything I know about the game from my Dad (and by participating in the junior golf program at our club that he ran for a decade before he stepped down when my sister and I came through the program).

Playing golf with my Dad was "our thing" and I'm not quite sure I would have continued playing into adulthood if it weren't for him.

Today would have been his 72nd birthday. And it was two years ago today on his 70th birthday that I spoke to my Dad for the last time. 😇

I didn't play golf at all last summer because it was too hard for me to be in this special place without him.

This picture is from the first time I played golf without my Dad. He was a big fan of Budweiser which he exclusively called "Bud Heavy" once I taught him the term.

From this round forward, I always stop at the halfway Snack Shack on our course and have a Bud Heavy in his honor. I guess it's my way of still having a part of him on the course with me.

Happy birthday, Dad. This Bud's for you. 🍻
