We have now concluded the sale of all the remaining gold. The proceeds from the gold should be reflected in the cash balance in your HelloGold app. Once we receive funds from our refinery, we will be processing cash transfers to your bank account on record.

If you have previously provided your bank details to us, you do not have to do anything as our system will automatically process the funds to your designated account.

If, however, you have never made a cash withdrawal before, can you pls make a cash withdrawal request where it will prompt you to provide details of your bank account and to upload proof of the bank account – eg a bank statement with the name of the bank, your full name and the bank account number. Provided we have all your correct bank details, we expect that all payments will be made within the next 5 working days.

Cash withdrawals made before today should also take no more than 5 working days.

After Friday, 10 February 2023, we will continue to receive bank details from customers who have not previously provided us with this detail. But we will be processing payments out on a weekly basis each Friday until Friday, 10 March 2023. Beyond 10 March 2023, we will process payments out on the last working day of each month on a monthly basis.

Dear Customer

I am afraid that HelloGold’s operations in Malaysia and Thailand will be closing by Thursday, 2 February 2023.

While we continue to believe in the value of gold as part of your financial portfolio, we have decided that our business in its current form is no longer commercially viable in the current market conditions

Our customers are free to continue to buy and sell gold, and to withdraw their cash until 7am (Malaysia), Thursday, 2 February 2023.

Any gold that remains in their account after 7am (Malaysia), Thursday, 2 February 2023 [6am (Thailand)] will be sold at 12pm (Malaysia), Thursday, 2 February 2023 [11am (Thailand)] at the prevailing price. All funds will then be transferred to their bank account on record within 5 working days.

For Smart Saver customers, all Smart Saver gold will be delivered into their HelloGold account for our customers to sell and withdraw their funds by 12pm (Malaysia), Friday, 27 January, 2023.
We expect that the platform may experience high traffic following this announcement and therefore apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused. However, we would like to reassure our customers that we are taking steps to minimise any inconvenience.

Lastly, we would like to take this opportunity to personally thank our customers for all their support over the course of our journey and we hope that one day we may serve you again.
