I am afraid that HelloGold’s operations in Malaysia and Thailand will be closing by Thursday, 2 February 2023.
While we continue to believe in the value of gold as part of your financial portfolio, we have decided that our business in its current form is no longer commercially viable in the current market conditions
Our customers are free to continue to buy and sell gold, and to withdraw their cash until 7am (Malaysia), Thursday, 2 February 2023.
Any gold that remains in their account after 7am (Malaysia), Thursday, 2 February 2023 [6am (Thailand)] will be sold at 12pm (Malaysia), Thursday, 2 February 2023 [11am (Thailand)] at the prevailing price. All funds will then be transferred to their bank account on record within 5 working days.
For Smart Saver customers, all Smart Saver gold will be delivered into their HelloGold account for our customers to sell and withdraw their funds by 12pm (Malaysia), Friday, 27 January, 2023.
We expect that the platform may experience high traffic following this announcement and therefore apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused. However, we would like to reassure our customers that we are taking steps to minimise any inconvenience.
Lastly, we would like to take this opportunity to personally thank our customers for all their support over the course of our journey and we hope that one day we may serve you again.
