Some seasons don’t look like progress.
They look like starting over.
Losing things you prayed would stay.
Watching plans fall apart.
Questioning yourself.
Wondering if all the effort was even worth it.
I know this feeling personally.
There was a time when I watched a part of the place I had built with so much sweat, money, prayers and hope get destroyed by fire. For a moment, it felt like everything I had worked for was being taken away from me.
And honestly? I didn’t always feel strong.
I cried. I questioned. I paused. I wondered how I was going to rebuild.
But somehow, I did.
Not because I had everything figured out, but because somewhere underneath the disappointment, there was still a little voice saying, “You’re not done yet.” 🥹
So here I am.
Still trying.
Still rebuilding.
Still learning.
Still creating.
Still becoming.
Maybe the setback wasn’t the end of my story. Maybe it was simply a chapter I never would have chosen, but one that taught me that I can lose something and still find the strength to begin again.
If life has knocked you down lately, please remember this:
A setback is not a full stop.
Rest if you need to. Cry if you need to. Start again slowly. Start again scared. Start again with whatever you have left.
But whatever you do, don’t give up on yourself. 🤍
One day, you’ll look back at this chapter and realize you were becoming stronger while you thought you were simply surviving.
