✨ May recap ✨ A month filled with tiny fingers, sweet snuggles, and precious first moments. This May, I had the honor of caring for two beautiful baby girls as they began their journey earthside. 💕. Feeling grateful to support these growing families during such a special time.

I flew to Pau, in the heart of the French Pyrenees, to support this beautiful family as they welcomed their third baby, sweet Julius. What a special way to close the year ✨

A week filled with breathtaking mountain views, fresh air, slow postpartum moments, games with the little ones 🥞 and of course… warm, crispy baguettes 🥖☕

Checking in to make sure both mother and baby were doing well, creating space for rest, and making sure everyone was nourished along the way.

So grateful to be part of the first days and to guide the family through this special time 👶🏼🤱🏽 Leaving them feeling confident and settled as a family of five ✨

Julius, you were the perfect final chapter of my 2025 babies 💫 💫

A week of postpartum care for my sweet little Jahan💖
Such a happy, gentle soul, surrounded by love. From the moment I arrived, her parents welcomed me with open arms and treated me like family...something I’ll always be grateful for.

This week was filled with happiness, tears, healing, and strength. We pushed through every moment together. Mama, you were an absolute gladiator throughout the week. Your strength and resilience inspired me, and I’m so proud of you.

STERILIZING Bottles & Pump Accessories

As a postpartum nurse, I always remind new parents that during the first week after birth, a newborn’s immune system is especially vulnerable. That’s why we boil bottles and pump accessories daily or use a baby-safe disinfectant/sterilizer machine. Both options help eliminate germs, bacteria, and lingering milk residue that can build up quickly. It’s a simple step that keeps feeding equipment safe and gives parents a little extra peace of mind during those tender, overwhelming first days.

To all the mothers of my tribe, this is for you.
Motherhood isn’t one clean definition, it’s a landscape filled with shifting roles, new emotions, responsibilities, and the evolution of who you are becoming.

Motherhood is the ongoing commitment to nurture, protect, and guide your child, while continually growing and adapting yourself. It’s equal parts love, responsibility, and resilience. It can feel overwhelming and deeply fulfilling at the same time. And it’s never limited to biology, it’s defined by presence, care, and the willingness to show up, even on the hard days.

At its core, motherhood is a relationship: one that evolves as both you and your baby do.

You’re doing more than you think, and you’re growing in ways you don’t always see. I’m proud of you! Keep going, mama.

Freddie B. 🩵💙20.6.25

I had the joy of caring for sweet Freddie and his wonderful family. His proud older brother, whose biggest wish was to have a little brother finally had his dream come true, and the pure love between them was something special to witness.🥰

Mom handled delivery like a champ, dad was the perfect coach, and breastfeeding fell into place beautifully. Their home was overflowing with love for little Freddie, and I got to share a beautiful week of bonding with this amazing UK family. Grateful for every moment 💜✨

Little Isabelle what a joy it was to care for you this year 💕 You arrived just in time to celebrate the end of spring with your beautiful family: mamá, big brother, and big sister.

Sweet Isabelle, with your Dutch and Spanish roots, you already carry such a special mix of love and zen vibes. Your mom birthed you like a total pro and took her well-deserved rest during the postpartum week, enjoying cozy meals and cuddles in bed while regaining her strength.

It was such a fun week, big sister totally finished me off in a game of chess… a loss I’ll gladly take from such a worthy opponent ♟️😂, I met 2 other strong women ( & -The best PT) whose good vibes made the week even more beautiful. It was a week of abundant feminine energy.

When your breakfast bowls remind you of b***s.... haha.
With my like of work, everything reminds me of b***s these days!

On a more serious note: postpartum nutrition is no joke. Your body’s healing, hormones are shifting, and digestion can be slow to start up.

That’s why fiber rich foods and vitamin rich options like kiwi 🥝 are good for you. They help keep the digestive tract moving, support tissue repair, and boost your energy naturally.

So dear moms, eat well, hydrate often, and remember balanced nutrition is part of postpartum care.

KRAAMBAAS & THE EMMY....

With the Emmys just behind us, I’m reminded of a special moment from last year. While caring for a client’s daughter and grandson, I noticed an Emmy sitting quietly on a shelf. Their mother (my client’s mother, the proud Emmy winner) smiled when I recognized it ...and we began talking.

I was in awe of this fierce and talented woman and what she has accomplished in her career as a director. She created and directed Kabam! A beautiful children’s series that transforms everyday childhood fears into playful adventures. It’s been translated into multiple languages, used in schools worldwide to support kids’ social-emotional growth, and even won an International Emmy Award. I highly recommend watching it!

I am proud of us women: for our resilience, fierceness, beauty and all that is us!

I cannot express enough how much I love my purpose, appreciate meeting all the beautiful strong women along my journey, and grateful for being welcomed into your homes, the experiences and moments we share together, and also becoming a part of your stories.

…And yes, Kraambaas got to hold the Emmy!!! 🏆✨💜

Postpartum nurse, C-section scar specialist, masseuse and I can now add assistant to the grandma's on my skill list😅

In the Netherlands, baby announcements aren’t just online or through baby birth card announcements, they shine through the windows! 🍼🇳🇱 Families decorate their front windows with the baby’s name, balloons, or storks so the whole neighborhood can celebrate together.
