Gallet has a particularly interesting place in chronograph history. Long before the current revival of the brand, its name was closely associated with professional timing and chronographs built for people who actually needed to measure things.

The brand’s history is also closely intertwined with the early days of aviation. Gallet watches have been associated with pioneering aviators, including the Wright brothers, adding another layer to a name that has been part of the world of precision timing for well over a century.

That heritage is part of what makes the modern Gallet interesting: it isn’t simply borrowing the look of an old chronograph. It’s a contemporary watch carrying a name with a genuine history in the genre.

A detail with a story behind it.

The Arabic numerals on this Longines dial are more than a design choice. The numerals we use today in Europe are part of a number system that travelled from India through the Arab world before becoming widely adopted in Europe.

Centuries later, that same connection finds its way onto the wrist. Here, the distinctive numerals are combined with a finely detailed dial, giving this Longines its own character while keeping the overall design timeless.
