Baselines

Inspired by tribal art and simple expressionist forms, Baselines explores the foundations of visual communication. The bold shapes and symbolic marks recall the earliest engraved figures and cave drawings—humanity’s first attempts to record thought, memory, and experience.

Reduced to essential forms, the composition invites viewers to engage with the work through intuition rather than definition. The absence of a fixed narrative creates room for imagination, allowing each person to discover their own meanings and connections within the image.

Baselines reflects on the enduring power of simple marks—how the most fundamental expressions can transcend time, culture, and language. It is a reminder that creativity often begins with a single shape, a single gesture, and the freedom to imagine what comes next.

Blooming

Created as a celebration of renewal and emotional awakening, Blooming captures the feeling of standing inside a garden at the height of summer — alive with color, warmth, movement, and possibility. Layers of soft blush, coral, gold, and botanical greens unfold across the canvas like petals opening to sunlight, expressing the beauty of transformation and the energy of new beginnings.

This piece speaks to hope — the quiet yet powerful moment when something within us begins to flourish again. The textures and sweeping gestures create a sense of abundance and vitality, evoking nature in its richest state: juicy fruit, warm air, wild flowers, and the fullness of life in bloom.

I’m fascinated by the old men just sitting, drinking tea, watching, talking and half sleeping.
No phones, just present in the moment.
