With this final design, we complete our handcrafted trilogy. A symbol of radiant resilience, rising from stillness and reborn through fire.

Like Chhepu and Lakhey before it, this piece was shaped with patience, through the same slow, deliberate process of handcarving. The Phoenix Brooch is our homage to renewal, to the quiet strength it takes to endure, evolve and emerge.

In myth, the phoenix does not flee the fire, it rises through it, reborn not despite the ashes but because of them.

Each feather in this piece reveals hours of devoted craftsmanship, each curve holding the soft fire of perseverance.

This brooch is for those who carry grace through transformation, who rise not only to begin again but to become something new.

The Lakhey Brooch draws from the legendary demon dancer of the Newar festival tradition, a guardian spirit who rages not in destruction but in sacred play. Every stroke in this piece was carved by hand, capturing the swirling energy of Lakhey’s mask to reflect the light of heritage and ritual.

It’s a tribute to those who carry fierce joy, who protect what matters most and who know that sometimes power moves best when it dances.

Our silence wasn’t absence, it was devotion.
While we were thoughtfully building ‘Yana’, our soulful store for craft and community, our hands worked in silence. We were patiently designing, carving and refining, shaping metal into meaning over months, creating a collection rooted in heritage and heart.

Introducing the ‘Chhepu Brooch’, the first in our new handcraved brooch collection.

Inspired by the guardian spirit of the Newar tradition, Chhepu is a fierce protector who stands watch at temple gates, warding off evil and preserving sanctity. Every line and detail in this piece was meticulously handcarved, echoing strength, reverence and protection.

It is not just adornment, it is a talisman for those who wear symbols that guard, guide and ground.
