✨️ Mānawatia a Matariki koutou ✨️

Such a fabulous time of the year ❤️

A wonderful time to reflect on the year that has been...and then to focus with good intentions for the year ahead.

I always look forward to seeing what the new years focus is and feel a strong connection to this years kaupapa! Inclusion, connection, belonging - ataahua ❤️ seems very fitting with my career in Education and recent move to a new role within that 💫

Connection to ngā Atua:

Tāne Mahuta (God of the Forest): Represents the harmony between humans and the natural world. According to traditions, he shaped the first human and gave them the breath of life, reminding us that humans are part of nature, not separate from it.

Hope you like this new series!

Connection to ngā Atua:

Hineteiwaiwa (Goddess of Weaving and Childbirth): She represents the "weaving" of people together and the forging of whānau (family). She embodies the nurturing support, maternal bonds, and collective village effort required to raise future generations.

Hope you like this new series!

That blue is so striking... paired with blue it absolutely pops and stands out. Reminds me of a starry night. Deep blue before the complete darkness takes over. Ataahua 🫶✨️

Connection to ngā Atua:

Papatūānuku (Earth Mother): The ultimate symbol of belonging. Often called Ūkaipo (the source of nourishment), she provides the physical and spiritual foundation for all humanity and ties people to the land.

Hope you like this new series!
