Born in a city full of culture and color, Nekhala’s interest in creating jewellery was fuelled by a journey across the world. During her travels she discovered many different forms of jewellery. “I was captivated by the beauty” she says of the brightly colored, intricate beadwork and fell in love with the beautifully designed beads, and in the Middle East I discovered stunning mosaic glass beads”.
With a bag full of beads and dreams, Nekhalaz returned to her native land, and embarked on a new adventure. "I realized this was the moment to follow my passion and create jewellery". Heart bead Designs are inspired by the beauty, shape and the colors of the materials Nekhalaz uses. "Some materials capture my attention and a feeling develops. I rarely draw my concepts. I find that as I begin to touch and play with the beads, the designs seem to come through my hands". My jewellery pieces are an expression of the beauty experienced and seen in the women and cultures of many exotic places. They are shrouded in femininity and mystery; yet they are bold, confident, and independent, like the women who will wear them.
