Meet the founder and designer of La Marqueuse — Urszula Dmowska-Gęsiorek.

Behind every stone that enters the Atelier lies Urszula's selection process, one that unfolds over months. Each gemstone is read not only by what a certificate records, but by what light alone can reveal.

Our latest piece in the Journal traces this process in full: how a stone is assessed before it is set, and why the right choice is always a matter of deliberate narrowing, until only one reveals itself.

A composition defined by structure.

At the centre, a 2.03 ct. emerald-cut natural diamond, framed by trapezoid and baguette-cut natural diamonds, establishes a sequence of lines rooted in the discipline of Art Deco. The transition in scale is deliberate, guiding the eye while maintaining balance within the form. Crafted in 750 white gold, the ring is resolved as a coherent whole, where each element holds its place with precision.

Louvre Héritage. An expression of structure, carried through time.

The character of detail, revealed through craftsmanship.

Jewellery exists in transition: between light and shadow, between stillness and movement, between the body and the space it occupies.

What defines a piece is not only its form, but how it responds. A shift of posture, a change of light, a moment in motion: each reveals a different aspect of the composition.

At La Marqueuse, design is not fixed. It adapts.

The phenomenon of the Conch pearl.

They are truly unique gemstones, found only in the waters of the Caribbean and Bermuda. They form naturally within the Queen conch mollusk, without cultivation or human intervention. Only one in ten thousand may contain a pearl. Of those, only a small fraction reaches gem quality, which makes Conch pearls one of the rarest in the world.

The ring's design reveals the full character of the conch pearl. Enveloped in pavé-set G colour natural diamonds, crafted in 750 white gold. Completed with a single natural diamond that brings clarity to the composition.

A rarity, reimagined.

The strength of the detail.

At La Marqueuse, nothing is incidental. Every line, every setting, every proportion is considered and resolved with precision. Detail is not an addition but a space where form is defined and structure reinforced, and where craftsmanship becomes visible. What may seem subtle defines the whole.

Strength is resolved in precision.

Form exists in movement.

Jewellery responds to the body, to light, to the rhythm of gesture. A piece reveals itself not in isolation, but in motion when proportion, balance, and material come into alignment.

At La Marqueuse, each design is shaped to move with intention. Lines follow the body. Stones interact with light. Structure remains constant, even as everything else shifts.

Because true form is not only seen. It is experienced.

Toi et Moi —„You and Me“. The motif gained recognition in 1796 when Napoleon Bonaparte gifted this design to his wife, Josephine. Two stones set side by side, referencing two souls becoming one.

The Louvre Toi et Moi ring unfolds a composition sculpted in 750 yellow gold. Natural green diamonds in a pavé setting create a continuous surface of light. Two pear-cut natural fancy brown diamonds introduce contrast, completing the piece.

Form, evolving through rhythm.

The Cosmopolitaine collection draws from the cadence of contemporary life: layered, dynamic, constantly in motion. Structures shift, lines intersect, and proportions respond to an environment defined by change.

Gold interwoven with natural diamonds tells a tale of reflecting the intensity and complexity of metropolitan life, where multiple rhythms coexist within a single structure.

Each piece is constructed with precision, allowing movement to remain controlled and form to remain exact. A collection shaped by the pace of the present.

The Louvre Héritage ring reveals a construction sculpted in 750 white gold. A central emerald-cut natural diamond, accompanied by trapezoid and baguette-cut natural diamonds. Their graduated proportions create a composition where every element follows a precise architectural order.

The clarity of the line, the balance of volumes, and the disciplined arrangement of stones echo the principles of Art Déco, where structure determines expression.

Here, each cut, each proportion, each placement has a purpose. Discover Louvre Héritage and more of the Rings collection crafted by La Marqueuse.

Form, defined through rhythm.

In Ombre de Perle, freshwater pearls are arranged in a continuous sequence, where proportion and scale determine the movement of the line. The Ombre de Perle Edison necklace introduces a more defined presence, while The Ombre de Perle No.6 builds a layered composition that remains light and fluid.

Each necklace is finished with a signature 585 yellow gold clasp, integrated into the structure of the piece rather than concealed. Designed to be worn alone or combined, they allow jewellery to be tell the story through proportion, balance, and personal rhythm.

Voûte No.2 ring unfolds sculpted as a continuous movement in 750 white gold, where volume and line remain in precise equilibrium. A natural oval diamond, joined by pear-cut natural diamonds, creates a composition that appears fluid yet fully resolved. The ring is available with a GIA certificate.

Here, form does not frame the stones from a distance. It moves with them. It carries their weight, their light, and their proportion within a single architectural gesture.
