Novi Studio Presents is a concept where the studio opens up to selected creators to showcase, collaborate, and connect.
This time we’re thrilled to welcome .cedon to the studio. He’s based in Gothenburg and will bring his amazing handmade objects for a pop-up on June 4–5.
His playful smiley objects match perfectly with Novi’s own smiley necklaces — Labil & Stabil — making this collab even extra fun 🙂🥴🙃

What’s the story behind your brand?
Mostly an uncontrollable urge to make strange artistic objects that probably didn’t “need” to exist — but somehow absolutely should.
What’s inspiring your work right now?
I’m really inspired by old craft traditions at the moment, especially when mixed with newer techniques and materials. Basically: one foot in the past, one foot in the future, and dust all over me.
What will visitors discover during your pop-up?
Artistic stools, trivets, sculptures, and some fun stuff.
Where do you see yourself/your brand in 5 years?
No clue. Hopefully still making art, still surviving financially, and hopefully exhibiting in more galleries and releasing more objects to the people.

One thing people might not expect about you?
I hitchhiked home from Lithuania once, and I’m currently working with a Michelin-starred restaurant — which sounds much more sophisticated than the reality.
