Luang Phor Chamnan also kept a carved ivory version of this amulet in his bag. He said that in the Mon tradition, the King Swan is considered auspicious and is present in every Mon temple. It is renowned for its power, authority, and royal prestige. It enhances good fortune, prestige, status, and destiny because the swan is a high-ranking creature that flies high. Those who possess the King Swan amulet will not fall or decline. The King Swan in the Mon tradition has great meaning and is very powerful. The act of catching prey symbolizes foraging, gaining an advantage, and obtaining desired things. Simply put, the swan is skilled at foraging and finding wealth. Those who possess a properly crafted King Swan amulet, according to Mon tradition, will prosper with authority and royal prestige, advance in their careers and families, and gain higher rank and position. It enhances their status, prestige, and fortune every day. It is also believed to bring good fortune, success in business, and prosperity; a highly revered
deity. The statue is cast in iron, with the head held high and legs raised, resting on a lotus petal base, as the swan is a Bodhisattva (one of the Buddha's previous lives). This accurately reflects the Mon tradition of the swan catching its prey.
