The founder, Alexander Ian Loh, has a fiery (at times, obsessive) passion for designing watches which are both highly functional and well balanced in the aesthetics department. Alexander's love and passion for watches began on that fateful day when he found himself entranced by the balance wheel of an ETA 6497 movement freely oscillating away. Fueled by his curiosity, he acquired some tools and so

urced for whatever parts he could find and built his very first watch. From that day on, he could not stop tinkering around with watches. With whatever watchmaking knowledge he had gathered, he took the plunge and started Arcturus to share with the world his very own creations. Just like how Singapore is a truly multicultural country which draws influence from the myriad of cultures living within the country, Arcturus Watches draws inspiration from a litany of classic and iconic timepieces to bring you the LC-1 (Lion City - 1), whilst retaining it's own Singaporean charm. Quite simply put, the design ethos behind the brand is - to create stunning pieces, always.

T-2 to launch and we're excited to announce the revival of an Arcturus icon, the LC-1R. Set with carnelian, verdite and pietersite, this is the reiussed, refined and reimagined chapter of the LC-1 that many of you have asked us to bring back. Well, we heard you.

On the caseback, you’ll find the Vanda Miss Joaquim, our national flower. It’s more than a symbol; it’s a reminder of what it means to flourish in the face of challenge. The orchid is delicate, yes—but it is also enduring. It thrives in our heat, our storms, our sun.
