A2) Simply because when you buy from me, you need not pay for marketing, labour, rental and branding costs. You will be amazed that sometimes the branding can cost more than the jewelry itself! Q3) How good are you at assessing diamonds? A3) Basically you can show me a GIA cert, cover the top part and just show me the diamond inclusions picture. With this, I can tell you the clarity in which GIA has graded the diamond as. Therefore the more challenging part for me when assessing the physical diamond is to locate those inclusions using 10x loupe. As for colour, I have to consult a master colour set. For carat, I have to use the measurement of girdle diameter and height (Some use only the girdle diameter which is highly inaccurate). For the cut, I understand TIC but since excellent or ideal cut does not represent the best light return, it is always better to assess diamonds using the visual assessment of fire, brilliance and scintillation.
