Many know maker tags matter, but few realize stamp placement and stitch patterns on seam joints can pinpoint factory and decade—like ladder stitches on early 20th-century European bears versus whipstitch on later mass-produced imports—helping appraisers verify origin without a tag. That stitching detail also reveals past repairs, which affect value more than surface wear.

We use stitch-pattern analysis in Cypress & Sage - Vermilion to authenticate and grade vintage plush before listing.
