One color palette - six pair of earrings 🖤

This collection of earrings has been made slowly and intentionally over the past two months. I wasn’t sure when I would be finished with them or when I would share these earrings, but I knew when the time would be just right.

Tomorrow, I will pay the deposit and sign the lease to my new apartment!!! This is something that has been in the works for months and is finally coming to life, just like these earrings 🖤 I created these quietly, in the background as a personal project that I wanted to pour extra love and intention into.

A majority of life is about timing, and I’m finally in a place where my timing is lining up just right. So it feels appropriate to share this collection that represents the energy of strength, endurance and resilience.

Truly, anything is possible…. If you want if badly enough ♥️

I’ve had a few people ask if I’m going to sell my beadwork at the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) Conference this month- and I just wanted to share that I will not have a table at AFN this year.

I have been looking into a couple of events to sell at in December…. But for now my sales will continue to be via my website 💜

🪶Eagle Feather Fringe (in two sizes) and Small Pe**te Leaf Earrings have been added to my website.

Eagle Feathers have been an ongoing creative project (for me) for the past 2-3 years. I’ve made numerous variations of them, and while I’ve loved each pair- none of them have quite matched my vision.

Sometimes we get these concrete ideas in our minds and when life doesn’t match that idea 100%- it can feel like we’re failing…. But we’re not. Just like these earrings, so much of life is refining our vision and being flexible enough to allow unexpected outcomes to fuel us to our goals (instead of being discouraged).

Life has been teaching me this lesson in oh so many ways. A couple of weeks ago I was thinking to myself ‘Man, things can’t get any worse right now’……. And the universe accepted my challenge 😂😭

With all the drama, grief and upheaval I’ve had over the past month- somehow I keep being brought back to gratitude….. which feels a little odd bc I am very good at wallowing in my emotions and feeling sorry for myself. So, being grateful when my world has essentially fallen apart feels….. suspicious 🙃

Anyway, things are getting better- I talked to my landlord today and I’ll be able to move in to my new place early next week (they have to do final clean out). I was able to secure short term housing while I was waiting for my new apt to open up because of everyone who ordered from my last sale. Every dollar supported my need for an immediate place to stay (a couple of weeks ago). I am forever grateful to everyone who has showed up and showed out for me - thank you oh so much. Gunalchéesh!!! ♥️♥️♥️

📌 I send out a TON of mail today and will have the last of my preorders completed and shipped out on Monday!

I originally created these earrings to represent the hidden struggles that many of us carry in life. Like these earrings, we appear to be one way, but then in a certain light, things that we’re hiding are shown.

I like to think I’m good at hiding when I’m going through a hard time….. but then I go back and look at my past posts and see that I’m not hiding a damn thing 😂 I made a long emotional post yesterday, that I have since deleted….. after re-reading my words, it became very clear that it’s time for me to be back in therapy. That was a whole therapy session that I posted yesterday 🤦🏽‍♀️ 🤷🏽‍♀️

It’s always humbling (and kinda funny) to have these kinds of realizations and has shifted my intention behind these earrings- I think they’re less about keeping things hidden and more about the reality of being a human. We’re not a monolith and have so many layers to us, it’s nearly impossible to see what people are going through just by looking at them.

These earrings are about being multidimensional and having a story beyond just the surface level- and so many of us are seeking a safe, understanding community of people to share our depths with ♥️
