This is my incredible father, a man who gave over 20 years of his life in dedicated service to the United States Army. Not because he had to, but because that’s simply the kind of man he is. A protector. A warrior. A leader.

This powerful photo was captured during Operation Strong Eagle III (2010), one of the most intense and historic operations of the entire OIF/OEF era, recognized as the deadliest operation of its kind. This moment was frozen in time right on the objective, just minutes after an intense firefight with the enemy and if you look closely, you can see everything that makes him who he is.

But his heroism didn’t stop at the battlefield.
Every single day, he has shown up as a role model, a provider, and an inspiration ! Proving that the same courage that carried him through combat is the same strength he brings to family, to life, and to everyone lucky enough to know him.

Service has been the foundation of our lives.

Together, we’ve dedicated much of our adult lives to serving our country as Army officers. The Army is more than a profession for us, it’s where our story began. We first met while serving, and through the years we’ve continued to support one another through the sacrifices, deployments, long separations, and responsibilities that military life demands.

Before joining the Army, I proudly served my community as a firefighter. I have since spent nearly 20 years serving as an Army officer and military pilot and continue my service today in the Army Reserve in IRR. During my deployment to Afghanistan, I flew C-12 intelligence missions providing battlefield overwatch and helping identify potential IED threats to better protect Soldiers on the ground. Beyond my military service, I travel the country performing traditional country music while honoring America’s veterans and first responders. I also volunteer with CreatiVets, helping wounded veterans write songs and tell the stories of those who continue to fight battles that can’t always be seen.

Samantha is a Military Police officer who deployed to Afghanistan as a Protective Services Officer. She continues to serve our nation at the national level by protecting the rights of Reserve Soldiers while recognizing and honoring the civilian employers whose support makes reserve military service possible. Her quiet leadership, unwavering integrity, and commitment to serving others inspire everyone who knows her.

Together, we’re raising three daughters while continuing to answer the call to serve. Whether in uniform, through music, or by supporting fellow veterans and service members, we believe service isn’t simply something you do, it’s a way of life.

For us, a Western belt buckle isn’t just an accessory, it’s part of who we are. We both grew up surrounded by western culture and understand the significance of what a buckle can represent. We wear buckles every day as a reflection of our values and our lifestyle, and John proudly wears one on stage at every performance and in his support of western heritage and history.

We would absolutely love a matching set of his-and-hers military buckles. To us, they would symbolize our shared journey of service, sacrifice, faith, family, and love of country. They would be something we’d proudly wear every day—a reminder of where we’ve been, what we’ve stood for, and the life we’ve built together in service to others.

I am an Army Veteran of the Iraq War. I would like to be considered for a buckle because I love the military and everything it stands for. At 20 years old and only 2 years in the Army, I was sent into the unknown. I helped with the transportation of all goods and personnel in and out of Iraq. I also provided convoy security throughout the country. It was amazing seeing parts of the Holy land and learning about the history of the country while I was deployed. I now help support multiple Veteran organizations and am a disabled vet. Though it may not be a physical disability, mental disabilities are just as important. I am a strong believer in seeking assistance if you or someone you know are experiencing any issues with mental health. Thank you Molly's for your support of our country’s veterans
