Hey friends! We just listed these bee pendants on our website! To look closer, go into the search and put in ‘bee’ and you can see what is available. I’ve been collecting these for a long time and love them so much! Each one is so special and unique. I’ve carved amber, mother of pearl and abalone and I can say from experience that it is not for impatient souls. First, finding AAA grade amber isn’t easy, especially since it’s priced by the gram and you lose about 30% of rough in the process. The abalone and MoP aren’t hard to source, but superb quality isn’t as abundant as in times past. Pollution and over collecting ( shells don’t have time to grow ) are contributors to this. I’m really happy with this collection and kinda want to keep them all. But, I got bills to pay so I don’t get to be a dragon admiring my horde of treasure.

Hey friends! Here’s the finished necklace we started on a livestream using our Persephone’s Gifts Lucky Dip bead collections and a beautiful, one of a kind amber bee pendant. It’s so luminous! Like sunlight solidified! The necklace features a delightful assortment of gems: ruby, aquamarine, emerald, chrome diopside, among others, with sterling silver findings. Come check it out in person at The Honey Fest tomorrow at Highland Brewery 12-6.

Hey friends! What do you think about my latest painting? I started this on livestream, demonstrating a cool gesso technique of starting with a completely black gessoed board with layers of white gesso to bring up the highlights. It’s pretty satisfying to paint ‘backwards’, I usually start from white. Anyway I uploaded the first round of prints on the website if you’re interested. I’m calling it Lightening Two Ways because around here during summer storms, when lightning strikes the lightening bugs or fireflies flash and it’s one of the most magical moments.
