🐾 The Boy Who Almost Got Left Behind 🐾

Most people see a cat and see a pet. We see the tiny 2-pound feral kitten who was once considered “too wild” and nearly missed his chance. We see the countless hours, days, and years it took to turn fear into trust.

For over two years, Beefy has been waiting for a family of his own. While many of the cats he came into rescue with found homes long ago, Beefy stayed behind. Not because he isn’t wonderful, but because he needs a little more time than most to show people who he really is.

At adoption events, Beefy tends to shut down. The noise and activity overwhelm him, and potential adopters never get to see the real him. But in a home, with someone he trusts? That’s where the magic happens. He’ll chat with you, rub against your legs, and quietly choose you as his person.

Beefy isn’t looking for someone who wants an instant best friend. He’s looking for someone who understands that trust takes time and that the strongest bonds are often the ones worth waiting for.

❤️ This is why we do what we do. ❤️

This past weekend, we had what we thought was the perfect adoption. A wonderful family came to PetSmart and instantly fell in love with Megan. It was one of those connections that you just know is meant to be.

While we were thrilled for Megan, her brother Matthew was left behind, still waiting for his forever home.

What we didn’t realize was just how bonded Matthew was to Megan.

After she left, Matthew was heartbroken. He cried throughout the night, was visibly stressed, and just wasn’t himself. It became clear very quickly that he wasn’t just missing a playmate—he was missing his sister.

We decided to reach out to Megan’s adopter and let them know how much Matthew was struggling without her.

The response was more than we could have hoped for.

Within an hour, they were on their way to PetSmart to meet Matthew. One meeting was all it took, and they knew he belonged with them too.

Now Megan and Matthew are together again, exactly where they were meant to be—safe, loved, and never having to say goodbye to each other again. ❤️

These are the moments that make every late night, every plea, and every challenge that comes with rescue worth it.

Thank you to this incredible family for opening your hearts to both of these sweet babies. And thank you to everyone who supports our rescue and helps make happy endings like this possible.

✨ Queen Elizabeth is a beautiful 5-year-old Persian who needs a foster home without other animals. She prefers to be the queen of her castle and would thrive in a calm, quiet environment where she can soak up all the attention.

✨ Princess is also in need of a foster home! Both girls are fully vetted, adoption-ready, and simply need a safe place to stay while they wait for their forever homes.

What an incredible day! Five of our cats found their forever families, and we couldn’t be happier for them.

This is the last day of our raffle folks! Let’s have it go out big!!!!

Right now, we’ve still got what has now turned into 4 moms! Yes 4- to get in for spays

We’re helping one of our adopters with her poodle baby who she adopted 5 months ago and sadly due to a genetic hip issue now has a 3400 FHO surgery that’s scheduled Tuesday! When he was with us he was too little to catch the issue and now it’s been diagnosed. Another important reason to end backyard breeding 😞 we’d really like to help as much as we can. Let’s show her some support.

Our cat side well, that’s a non stop necessary donation ask daily! Until I brought the cat side on I never realized how much cats need and that’s a huge financial!

Today started with wonderful news, 7 cats and kittens were adopted into loving homes!! Thank you to everyone who came out to snuggle and adopt today 🫶🏼

For a brief moment, we felt like we could catch our breath…..Then the calls came and by the end of the day, we had taken in 11 more cats.

💔 Two exhausted mama cats trying to care for their babies.
💔 Seven vulnerable kittens depending on us for everything.
💔 Two owner surrenders with nowhere else to go.

This is the reality of rescue. As soon as one kennel opens, another cat is waiting to fill it. As soon as one litter leaves, another arrives.

We are running through food faster than we can buy it. Medical bills continue to pile up. Every day we are making impossible decisions about how to stretch our resources just a little further.

The truth is, we need help. Not next week. Not next month. Right Now.

If every person reading this donated just a few dollars, it would make a huge difference. If you can send food, litter, or supplies, we need those too. We can’t do what we do without you.

These kittens didn’t ask to be born outside. These mothers didn’t choose to be abandoned. The owner surrenders don’t understand why their lives just changed overnight. But they are here now, and they are counting on us.

Please help us continue saying “yes” when the next call comes.
