Hey y’all!

I’m Adrianna, the person behind Dran’s Bakeshop.

I grew up baking with my grandma Conchita. She was the daughter of a candy maker, and I loved watching her cook and eating everything she made. As I got older, I was always watching the food channel, inspired by everything I saw.

I used to bring desserts to school and they weren’t always great, but I kept doing it because I loved it. RIP if you ate them, I didn’t know what I was doing back then 😭

I started working at Creations Cake Shop here in town in 2018, and I’m really grateful Susie gave me that opportunity. She taught me so much and pushed me creatively, and I carry that with me in everything I make.

That foundation led me to work in bakeries and kitchens locally, as well as in Austin and Colorado

I’ve been making cakes on my own since 2021, and now I’m taking it more seriously after a few years away.

I focus on scratch made baking, quality ingredients, and exciting flavors
I offer:

I have experience as a professional cake decorator and pastry cook and am food handler certified.

Cake pricing guide 💌

All pricing starts with a base cake and increases depending on flavor, filling, frosting type, and design.

Base cake includes:
vanilla or chocolate cake, American buttercream, and a simple design (up to 2 colors, border, message, and basic sprinkles)

Cakes (triple layer)
6” (serves ~8–12) starting at $50
7” (serves ~12–16) starting at $60
8” (serves ~16–22) starting at $70
9x13 sheet cake (serves ~20–25)
starting at $65

Cupcakes (by the dozen only)
1 dozen starting at $30
Max per order: 3 dozen

Upgrades such as specialty flavors, frostings, fillings, additional colors, or detailed designs will increase the final price.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order, and it goes toward your order total.

Orders must be placed at least 1 week in advance.

Not sure what to call this piece, but I like the Celestial, dream-like grid vibes.

I'm a really big fan of heavy line work, deep contrast, and 3D shapes.
If I'm doodling, it's always random scribbles mixed with geometric 3D forms, so this kinda felt like an extension of all them doodles.

Anyway, it felt really nice to lock in on something and finish it. 🙏🤧

There's no meaning or anything. The requirements were just that it needed 15 right angles, 3 diagonal lines, 2 circles, and various textures/patterns.

Story of the day:
1. We had a team potluck at work today. Our meeting hour was canceled, but we still ate and worked in the meeting room anyway.
2. I made a blueberry pancake cake. Maple flavored cake soaked in 🍁 maple syrup with blueberry preserve filling and Blueberry buttercream.
3. I dropped it in the elevator when I got to work. The cake didn't touch the floor, it just fell apart. There was a mess, indeed.
4. I was nervous bc I judge everything I make extremely harshly. I am my worst critic. 😘
5. I got good feedback on the cake.
6. I was healed. I was happy. I was ecstatic.
7. I decided to make a full blown instagram post to commemorate this moment in time when I actually made something and ENJOYED making it. Zoo wee mama.

Do y'all know anyone that works in a bakery or coffee shop in Austin that would be open to answering some interview questions? Or do you work in a bakery/coffee shop in Austin and would be willing to answer some questions?

I'm working with Future Bakery Cooperative to complete a marketing analysis.

We're trying see how feasible it is to create a bakery from the ground up. We're just trying to gather data so we can potentially answer our question: Can we really pull this off?

Thank you for requesting these, they were so much fun!

Ingredients:
Pupcake - oat flour, baking soda, a bit of honey, egg, olive oil, pumpkin puree, peanut butter, bone broth
Frosting - potato, Greek yogurt, bone broth, peanut butter, strawberry, coconut flour

Topped with a milk bone treat. 🧁

I've spent a lot of time learning to decorate cakes and make pastries.

I'm no longer in this profession, and I'm trying to regain a love for baking again. It's hard when you did it not as a hobby, but as a way to make a living.

It's a slow process. I only bake things here and there. I try to focus on quality ingredients, sugar free/refined sugar free baked goods, and I only make things I ABSOLUTELY want to make.

I recently opened up to the idea of bartering. Trading goods and services for other goods and services.
A mutual exchange that both parties agree upon.

If you'd ever be open to barter/trade for some baked goods, dog treats, fake cake art, or just regular art, send me a dm.
Things I'd love in exchange are: art, plants/herbs/teas, good meals, other baked goods, tattoos, cute earrings, etc. Send me a dm and we'll possibly figure it out.
