Something new, something blue. 💙 Fresh new earrings have been added. Blue-grey iolite with labradorite and hematite. Strung on silk thread (so they sway lightly). Sterling silver components. P.S. I'm in love with the lightness of these earrings!

Iolite is a naturally occurring gemstone from the mineral cordierite. Its colors range from grayish-blue to violet-blue. Iolite is associated with intuition, mental clarity, guidance or direction in life, and spiritual awakening. Sometimes known as the "viking compass" for its historical uses as a polarizing filter to locate the sun on cloudy days. Also known as a vision stone for its thought ability to activate the Third Eye.

Rudraksha prayer beads (8-9mm), accented with lapis lazuli (8mm) and brass, hand-knotted onto blue nylon cord. This is a 108 bead mala, used for meditation to help quiet the mind, and keep count of mantra recitation. This mala is 22" long from back of mala to end of tails.

Rudraksha means "tears of Lord Shiva," derived from the Sanskrit words Rudra (Shiva) and Aksha (eyes or tears). Hindu legend says Lord Shiva cried tears of compassion after seeing the struggles of humanity, which turned into seeds upon hitting the earth. Rudraksha beads are natural seeds which grow inside blue fruit on large evergreen trees (Elaeocarpus ganitrus) found mostly in the Himalayan foothills, Nepal, and Indonesia.

Lapis lazuli attributes include enhanced dreamwork, spiritual journeying, and stimulating personal and spiritual power. This stone also helps to release stress, and brings deep peace. Lapis lazuli resonates with the Third Eye and Throat Chakras.

Created by Made With Mantra, each hand-crafted mala is imbued with the mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum” as it is knotted. Translation: The jewel is within the lotus. This mantra is a reminder and invitation to be pure in body, mind, and speech. Follow the path of wisdom with love and compassion. Buddhahood will result.

Citrine is a yellow to orange variety of quartz. It's thought to carry the energy of the sun, and is considered a powerful cleanser and regenerator. It is warming, energizing, and highly creative. The beauty of citrine is that it never needs cleansing, as it absorbs, transmutes, dissipates, and grounds negative energy. And now, something a little more traditional.

Lotus bodhi seed beads, Nepalese turquoise and brass spacer beads, and brass Tibetan Buddhist mala counters. Finished with a lotus bodhi seed guru set. Deep orange carnelian stones complement the mala.

"Bodhi" technically refers to the sacred fig tree (Ficus religiosa) under which Siddhartha Gautama achieved enlightenment. Practitioners believe these beads help convey the power of meditation and act as a daily reminder of the capacity for profound spiritual growth.
