My favorite step of my process- applying a patina to a finished copper piece. I love the depth this effect adds to the metal and i love seeing a visual reveal of the final product.

Not sure if i’m gonna part with this one, i rarely keep things for myself but i’ve fallen in love with this piece. Sonoran sunrise chrysocolla carved by yours truly, paired with 2x tourmaline and an ethiopian opal. We will see if this one makes it to my site 🫡☺️😂🖤

A common question i get is, “did you actually make these”? And while i’m sad you have to ask in today’s day and age full of temu resellers and ai everywhere, I love a chance to talk about my process. :)

💛i cut the majority of the gemstones i use myself
💛all metal work is done by me
💛i patina and polish my pieces myself
💛i am always the one you’ll see at my booth at in person markets

I’ve taken to wire wrapping behind my booth so i can show people some behind-the-scenes of my process. I love keeping my hands busy, and people love to see it!

Been a minute since i posted! Got a couple updates for everyone:).

- My birthday is 10/10! 🎂I will probably do something special for this, keep an eye on my page to see it first!

- Higher Ground Wire turns 6 years old on 11/11! This is the date i launched my website, but i started making wire wrap jewelry in March of 2019. I previously had an etsy and used twitter to connect with people who loved my art. I’ll be posting the HGW lore, and some other special things the week of my anniversary! 🖤

- I will be popping up at harvestfestivalonlivernois this october! So excited to be involved with such a fun event so close to home. I’ll be making some special pieces for this event and i’ll be bringing what’s left of my pride inventory! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🖤

Thanks for being here and supporting my lil q***r owned business. Means the world to do what i love:). As always, the majority of stones are cut by me and all wrapped in Ferndale, MI.

Three petoskey stones with three different vibes:). My dad had a co-worker who’s brother passed away this year. He was a rockhound his whole life, and when he passed on, i was gifted his collection of petoskey stones to make art with. These are some of those, carved and wrapped by yours truly and sourced by a michigander. 2 of the 3 are still attainable. 🖤

Sometimes, simplicity speaks for itself:). This hand carved variscite demanded to be wrapped in a style that didn’t take away from the natural beauty of the stone. Wrapped in .925 sterling silver from my most recent batch of art projects! This pendant is smaller than the art i usually make, and she’s so cute!
