Many residents have reached out this week about the proposed data center and large scale emergency diesel generators planned for the former US Steel site in Falls Township, PA, roughly 2 miles from Bordentown City across the Delaware River.
We are also just learning about the project and have already requested records and information from the Pennsylvania DEP, Bucks County Health Department, and Falls Township related to permits, environmental reviews, and technical studies.
At this time, there is still an active PA DEP public comment period on the projectโs air quality permit application. While the project is located in Pennsylvania, our city and region deserve to be taken into account when evaluating potential impacts to air quality, noise, emissions, water usage, and public health.
