Letterbox Lion Handmade Jewelry Candy wrapper origami? Sterling silver wire-wrapping? I'm willing to try anything that comes to mind I make handmade jewelry in a variety of ways.

I'm constantly trying to learn new techniques to develop and perfect my style. I started out with recycled origami, and recently I discovered a fascination with gemstones, so I'm beginning to experiment with them, too. Also, I make the only flock-of-cranes earrings that I could find by googling! I'm pretty proud of that.

The sheer amount of jewelry I made in the last 24 hours is almost enough to make up for an entire semester of not having had time to make ANY. I feel SO much better. Sadly for you guys they're all gifts ;] but pictures will be up eventually (once they open them of course!).

Just finished moving to my new apartment! We have a cat and awesome roommates! But my other roommate's moving guys crushed a bunch of my cranes that were drying....sigh. Minor setback!

Origami made out of handmade washi chiyogami paper from Japan in green, dusted with white, copper, bronze and silver metallic accents. Topped with gemmy kyanite. These are the "ascent" origami model, which, I'm proud to say, I created myself from a modified leaf design. It's meant to look like the downstroke of a bird's wings.
