A little more of The Night Owl is coming together. 🦉🖤

I recently brought home this beautiful pair of vintage chairs, and I think they may be exactly what I've been looking for to create a cozy little reading corner.

The carved wood, antique detailing, and that gorgeous muted teal upholstery... I couldn't resist!

One of my favorite parts of creating this bookshop has been finding older pieces and giving them a new chapter.

I want The Night Owl to feel less like walking into a modern store and more like discovering a little library tucked away in another time.

And I think these two are going to fit right in.

The Night Owl has some new arrivals! 🦉🖤

And I have a feeling my dark romance readers are going to appreciate these. 😏📚

Our first batch of 3D-printed bookmarks has arrived, and I'm already imagining them displayed among the shelves of The Night Owl.

From skulls and roses to a few designs that are definitely not for the faint of heart, these are just a little taste of the bookish treasures coming your way.

🦉 A New Chapter Begins…
September didn't go exactly as planned. Life has a funny way of reminding us that sometimes the best-laid plans have to wait a little while.
But even when things have been quiet over here, The Night Owl has still been taking shape behind the scenes.
And I have SO much to show you. 🖤
The website is coming together. The shelves are being planned. Choose Your FATE is officially becoming a real thing. I've been working on Bookish Treasures, handmade pieces, merch, packaging ideas, and all of the tiny details that will eventually make The Night Owl feel like The Night Owl.
October is going to look a little different around here.
Less posting just to post.
More bringing you along while I actually build this thing.
You'll start seeing sneak peeks of what I'm making, what I'm bringing into the shop, behind-the-scenes decisions, website progress, mystery books, bookish treasures…and probably a few moments of me questioning why I decided to build a bookshop from scratch. 😂
But we're getting there.
One shelf. One book. One very late night at a time.

When September started, I told you I wasn't going to disappear and come back someday with a perfectly finished business.
I wanted you here while I built it.
So that's what we did.
You learned why it's called The Night Owl.
You met the Owl.
You became The Night Owl Society.
We talked books. Romance, Questionable fictional men. Choose Your FATE. The future shop. Forgotten old things. And what might eventually live on these shelves.
But this was only the introduction.
Because now we're getting to the really fun part.
Actually Building it.
October is going to look a little different.
More behind the scenes.
More website. More products. More packaging. More books.
And hopefully....
a few things I haven't shown you yet.
So thank you for being here at the very beginning.

A month ago, so much of The Night Owl existed mostly inside my head. And September taught me something I probably needed to learn:
You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.
I've changed things.
Second-guessed things. (i mean like alot)
Learned things.
Asked all of you approximately 900 questions.
I've had days where I accomplished a ton and days where life had completely different plans.
But somehow....
we're farther along than we were when the month started.
There's a community now.
The Night Owl Society.
There are ideas becoming actual plans. A website is beginning. Products are being considered.
And that tiny future bookshop feels a little less imaginary.
Maybe that's what building something actually looks like.
Not one giant leap.
Just a lot of tiny chapters.

The Night Owl is starting to become a little less "idea"...
and a little more real.
Because I'm officially working on the online bookshop!!
This is the part nobody sees when they click on a finished website.
Pages.
Menus.
Collections.
Shipping.
Policies.
Product categories.
A million tiny settings.
And me staring at the computer wondering why the thing I moved two pixels somehow broke something completely unrelated.
But this is also the part I've been waiting for.
Because once the bones of the website are finished, I can start filling those empty shelves.
Books.
Choose Your FATE.
Blind Dates.
Bookish treasures.
And eventually....
The Nigh tOwl will actually be open.
We're getting there.
