Danna Dickinson Sterling Silver Jewelry & Bronze Children
“Canton’s ORIGINAL Sterling Silver Discounter”
Arbor I - A 91 & 92 – First Monday Canton Trade Days
Danna Dickinson, a native Texan from Fort Worth, has been an antiques and fine sterling silver jewelry merchant for more than 30 years. Her many customers know her from First Monday Canton Trade Days that serves as her home base, and from
the many shows where she sells her hand crafted wares. Danna says she was ‘pulled, kicking and screaming,’ into the jewelry import business with some friends, when turquoise, coral and silver jewelry was a popular accessory for 1970’s fashionistas. She already owned a successful antique shop in Plano, Texas, so the jewelry market was a natural acquisition with so many finely crafted items. Dickinson says, “the jewelry business ended up being very rewarding…it was a wonderful addition to my life to share beautiful things that also touched the lives of others.” To add to her delight, she was the first long-term Canton vendor to offer the silver jewelry at discounted retail prices, which made it affordable for a broad customer base. Although there are pieces for every budget, Danna is known for her extensive collections by authentic, Native American artisans. She carries a Navajo designer out of New Mexico, another New Mexico craftsman, and Lena, a Tyler, Texas jewelry maker’s designs. Danna is the exclusive distributor for Lena’s work. Danna says, “Every month, the inventory changes, so we always have fresh and new designs. If customers are looking for natural stones – freshwater pearls, crystals, turquoise, coral, inlay fire opals and the like, my shops are the place to find them.”
Just as she is passionate about the jewelry business, Danna became passionate about carrying fine bronze statuary—focusing on children. “These statues are so lifelike and endearing – they bring joy to the customers that are looking for something meaningful to put on display in their beautiful homes and gardens.” She shops the East Coast and extensively in New York to find the right pieces to display and sell to her customers. Much of Danna’s business comes from repeat customers. Although she’s never had someone that was unhappy with a purchase, she’s so confident that they will like what they get that she offers a 120% money back guarantee.
