I even knew better, but how could you not naturally pick up speed with these vibes to start?!

Also, now that this race is over I can get back to thinking about jewelry making. 🙃

It’s safe to say I didn’t get to read as much of my book as I wanted this weekend. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bagels are already a staple around here, so this was an easy one to try. 🥯 I grabbed Hero Bread Plain Bagels on my latest Hy-Vee 🛒 run and love that I can get the breakfast I actually want with 0g sugar, ultra-low net carbs + more protein than traditional bread.

Definitely one I’ll be grabbing again!

Back-to-school nights = everyone going in different directions. 😅 Tonight my girls were off to dance, so “family dinner” looked a little more like dinner for two with an easy recipe of steak bites from Iowa Beef Industry Council ready for them later.

Beef makes busy nights a little easier with a satisfying meal that provides high-quality protein, iron + zinc. 🥩

Because when I’m being pulled in 10 different directions, knowing we’ve at least had a nourishing meal is one less thing to think about.

Outdoor Market Season 2026 concludes!

This season saw:

✨1 amazing new market added with Good Makers Market in the spring and the fall! So thankful to be there with amazing vendors, organizers and new customers
✨1 cancelled market—darn 30+ mph winds and rain
✨14 markers around the corridor
✨The first time I’ve had non family members working some markets while I was on vacation! This was a huge step for my business and they did amazing!
✨100 degree heat index at markets
✨so much rain or unpredictable weather

✨But the best part: over 800 sales this season and hundreds of new and returning customers!

So thankful to continue to be creative in this way! For now find me updating my website with current and new stuff to shop online in the off season!

Turns out Her Creations Jewelry doesn’t run on jewelry supplies alone. 😂🥞

I grabbed POWKAKES on my latest Fareway Stores run, and they’ve been an easy addition to our busy back to school mornings. Protein-packed, kid-friendly and made with clean + simple ingredients—which means everyone gets fed and I can move on to the other 47 things on my list. 😅

A rare Saturday off from jewelry markets called for something a little different this weekend…Cy-Hawk at Kinnick! 🖤💛🏈

Of course, I still had to make myself a new necklace for the occasion. 😂 Then we fueled up with E-88 (because 🌽), headed to Iowa City and got to kick off game day with an Iowa Corn tailgate before heading into the stadium.

As a proud Iowa alum, I love any chance to get back to Kinnick for a game. Plus nothing beats an in state rivalry like the Cy-Hawk game.

Iowa Corn is proud to sponsor the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series because it’s more than a game. It’s a tribute to the hard-working student athletes who give it their all both in their sport and in the classroom with their fields of study. Just like Iowa’s hard-working farmers who work in their fields to produce some of the best corn in the world!

And ending the day surrounded by 70,000+ people stopping to wave to the kids at the Stead Family Children’s Hospital was a pretty great reminder of what makes this state and its traditions so special. Two teams and their fans who have a rivalry on the field, but put it all aside for the kids. 🖤💛

Market-free Saturday = very well spent.

And, of course…GO HAWKS! 🏈🖤💛
It’s a Hawkeye State!

Farmers Market—wow, you all showed up again this weekend. Thank you for braving the beautiful and hot weather this morning.

Also, if you came when things were a bit crazy and I was doing my girls dance recital makeup behind the scenes—thanks for your patience. This weekend is insanity for me, but 100% worth it in all the ways.

thank you for an amazing way to kick off outdoor market season for me. My first time and I hope not my last—hint: I’m back in the fall! 🥰😍

So many new customers, some familiar faces and the nicest vendor neighbors!

Next up: Cedar Rapids Downtown Market next weekend. But now I rest until graduation tomorrow for my amazing students!
