Everett and I caught an early flight to Michigan yesterday and popped over to visit his Aunt Steph and his girlfriends!

Hey hey!

Welp, I was planning to go live while Rhett’s at his Nana’s today to show y’all what’s on the site, but I’m battling a horrible headache that is being SUPER stubborn. 🫠

I’m gonna try to hop on around 3pm EST, but if I can’t make it happen today, I’ll try again tomorrow.

I suppose this might be the universe telling me to slow the eff down. And if I’m being honest with myself, I really could use a good trash TV day cuddled up with Olive. 🤔

Anywho! Hope y’all are having a great weekend so far! It’s a rainy one here in NC, which tbh isn’t helping my motivation to get off the couch.

Something big in my world happened today.

A little backstory - when I got further along in my pregnancy, I was in a tonnn of pain and eventually got put on modified bed rest. I couldn’t keep going up and down the stairs anymore, so I had to move my office downstairs into our spare bedroom.

Fast forward to five months postpartum and I was still working from either the kitchen table or the spare bedroom.

I never moved back upstairs or had my own space again where I could get away from everything and just unplug for a bit.

Don’t get me wrong, I loooove my baby more than anything in this entire world. But sometimes when someone else has him, I need to actually remove myself from the house chaos and have some time alone.

I’ve been saying forever that I wanted to get my office upstairs back together and I finally started moving everything back today!

My MIL came over to hang out with the Chicken Nugg and while he was napping, she helped me bring some of my stuff back upstairs.

It’s nowhere near done.

There’s stuff everywhere and I have a lot of organizing to do, but OMGGG it feels so good to be back in my space.

I’ll slowly get everything put back together, organized and make it feel like mine again with all my candles, crystals and ambient lighting.

My sanctuary above the garage is coming back ya’ll.

Yesterday was our ONE year wedding anniversary!

We actually got to get all dressed up and went out to one of our favorite restaurants. This place has a lot of memories for us. It’s where Geoff first told me he loved me and where I met his family for the first time, so it felt pretty fitting to go back there for our anniversary.

Ya’ll—-getting dressed up felt SO 👏 GOOD 👏

I’m almost 5 months postpartum and I definitely went back and forth on wearing this dress. It’s a little more form fitting than what I’ve felt comfortable in lately and I wasn’t totally sure I was ready for it yet. But I wore it anyway. And ya know what? I felt pretty hot and like I found a little piece of the old me again.

Anywho, I kept my accessories super simple. Long emu feather earrings (avail on the site), strappy black heels and my usual rings — my wedding set + my mom’s wedding band.

It was just really nice to get dressed up, eat a really good meal (and great glass of w**e) and spend the evening together.

Plus chicken nugg got to spend time with Nana and Papa. He’s always full of smiles after he spends time with them.

Happy one year to us. 🖤

Life looks a little different than planned this month! 🥹

We’ve been MIA because our little man decided to surprise us and arrive 19 days early!

Everett was born on May 1st at 1:24 PM—right on the day our Spring Collection was supposed to launch.

My water broke early, funny enough, on a coffee date with my bestie, and because he was breech, we had to do an urgent C-section (I was already 6cm dilated when we arrived at the hospital!).

As first-time parents, the last few weeks have been a beautiful, wild adjustment while I recover from surgery and we figure out our new normal.

I can’t wait to get back into the studio to create more feather earrings for you guys once we get into the swing of things (and figure out this whole baby-wearing thing!).

Until then, the site is still stocked with a few remaining feather earrings, gemstone studs, soy candles, and goat milk soap.

Soaking up all the newborn cuddles right now, but I miss you guys!
