The Always Busy Mama exists because, at one point, I wasnât okay. âĄĚ
Iâve shared pieces of this story before, but on World Mental Health Day, it feels important to share the whole thing.
In 2020, after having my daughter in the middle of a pandemic, I was diagnosed with postpartum depression. Asking for help led me to therapy. Therapy led me to finding a creative outlet. And eventually, that creative outlet became The Always Busy Mama.
I never could have imagined that something I started during one of the hardest seasons of my life would eventually become a business built around helping women carry the people, moments and chapters that mean something to them.
And now that meaning goes even further.
A portion of purchases from The Always Busy Mama supports Postpartum Support International and the work they do to connect moms and families with support and resources for perinatal mental health.
So today, this isnât really a post about jewelry.
Itâs for the woman who knows something doesnât feel right but hasnât said it out loud yet.
Say it out loud. Tell someone. Ask for help. You deserve support before things become unbearable.
I will forever be grateful that when I said, âI donât feel like myself,â my husband supported me, and my doctor listened.
And Iâm incredibly grateful that something born from a difficult chapter of my story can now help support someone through hers. đ
If you know a mom who might need to hear this, please share it with her.
