I’ll be spending THREE whole days at Autumn on the Fox Art & Craft Show this weekend as part of St. Charles Scarecrow Weekend! 🎃🌈

I’m bringing along a whole bunch of handmade Thingys—including lots of one-of-a-kind suncatchers, sparkly spiders, spiral suncatchers, Prism Chimes, Forever Plants, and plenty of colorful little creations ready to find their people. ☀️🕷️🌿✨

Because apparently I’ve decided bats deserve to sparkle too. 😂🌈

I’m kind of obsessed with how these turned out. They’ve got just the right mix of creepy + cute + sparkly, which is basically my favorite aesthetic. 💜

Chicago friends — come find Emaloe’s Thingys at the 24th Annual Ravenswood ArtWalk this weekend! 🎉

I’ll be bringing a whole bunch of colorful, sparkly, slightly weird little Thingys — including handmade suncatchers, forever plants, beaded creations, and plenty of rainbow-making goodness. 🌈🪴✨

This is one of my favorite Chicago art weekends, with 75+ artists, live music, open studios & galleries, food trucks, local craft b**r, and more all along the Ravenswood Corridor. Basically… come for the art, stay for the snacks, and accidentally leave with a suncatcher. 😏😂

🌿 New Thingy in Progress ✨

Currently on my worktable: a brand-new Forever Plant Suncatcher… and I’m already a little obsessed. 👀💚

I’m building this one strand by strand with faceted glass beads in layers of emerald, leafy green, olive, and iridescent sparkle to create long, trailing vines that catch the light from every angle.

Basically, it’s a houseplant for those of us who love plants but also think they could use WAY more rainbows. 🌈😂

And the best part?
✨ No watering
✨ No sunlight requirements
✨ No crispy brown leaves
✨ Just ✨sparkle✨

She’s still a work in progress and has more magic coming before she’s finished, but I couldn’t resist sharing a little peek. 💚

Was I willing to wait until I took better ones before showing you? Also nope.

I just finished these two blood-red beauties and I’m kind of obsessed:

✨ A dramatic beaded spider suncatcher dripping in deep red glass beads & prisms
🕸️ A matching beaded spiderweb + dangling spider suncatcher because apparently one sparkly spider wasn’t enough.

The way the red glass catches the light is SO GOOD in person. ❤️✨ Equal parts spooky, sparkly, witchy, and weird — basically right at home at Emaloe’s Thingys.

Better photos (and listings!) coming soon, but I needed these little creepers on your feed immediately. 😂

Alright Chicago Listen UP!

Today, August 23rd from 1:00pm-9:00pm is the final day of Access Contemporary Music Thirsty Ears Festival! It's Chicago's ONLY Classical music fest and it was such a great experience. Listen to your favorite pieces on the main stage or grab some food and browse some booths. You don't want to miss this awesome event.

Emaloe’s Thingys is popping up at the 11th Annual Thirsty Ears Festival this Saturday & Sunday! 💖✨

Come find me among the vendor booths and shop a whole bunch of colorful, sparkly handmade Thingys — including suncatchers, beaded creations & whimsical home decor made to add a little extra joy (and rainbows 🌈) to your space.

And because apparently regular street festivals weren’t fancy enough… this one has classical music. In the street. 🎻🎹😂
