This is a bit extra special since these earrings were sourced through hazelchicago, a Chicago store that was my very first account 19 years ago that I love and am so proud to sell through.

So this feels like more than a jewelry spotting. A Chicago jewelry designer. A Chicago retailer. And The Bear- a show that so beautifully celebrates the people, places and creative spirit of Chicago. 🩵

Yesterday I shared “The Dolly” earrings and what Dolly Parton meant to me. Today, I just want to share a little more to the story…

About 6.5 years ago in the blurry beginning of COVID, I designed these earrings for Dolly and sent them her way. Just a few short months later, I was in the midst of newborn bliss sleeplessness, holding my little Lenny…almost throwing him in the air when I saw this photo released 😅 To see Dolly - one of the biggest-hearted humans and legends - actually wearing something I dreamed up, sketched, and hand-forged is something that I never thought could happen to me.

Sometimes I make something and simply hope it finds the right person. And if it is meant to be, it becomes a tiny part of their story too. I’m so incredibly grateful this is one of those moments 💖

This one hurts. Gosh, I loved her.

I designed these earrings specifically for Dolly Parton and had the honor of sending them her way about seven years ago. I call them “The Dolly”. A bolder-than-life design created for a woman whose confidence, femininity, and a larger-than-life spirit could only be celebrated with a ✨more is more✨ kind of sparkle.

I’ve affectionately referred to them as “Go Dolly, or go home.” Because Dolly did everything to the fullest to her heart’s capacity, and of course, her signature sparkle was no exception. She was confident, unapologetically herself, and truly one of a kind.

Her talent was extraordinary, but so were her warmth, generosity, advocacy, humor, and ability to make people feel good. Fortunate that my little piece of sparkle got to be part of her story…and mine.
Thank you, Dolly, for showing the world how to shine. And for always doing it with heart 💖

It is such an honor to be represented by one of Door County’s most treasured galleries. For more 58 years, Edgewood Orchard Galleries has thoughtfully curated an extraordinary collection of artists from around the world, and it never gets old walking through those beautiful doors and seeing Rach B among such inspiring company.
