Ever Wild Glassworks Custom made fused glass jewelry

10/05/2026

Okay, so I made a LOT of earrings last week, and I may have gotten a little too attached. Some were custom orders, so those were always leaving, fair enough. But the rest? I was keeping those. πŸ€ͺ Like, you'd have to pry them out of my cold, glassy hands. Every batch I went 'oh, I'll just keep this pair.' And then the next pair. Well, joke's on me, because they all sold. Every single one. I guess other people have good taste too. πŸ˜†πŸ₯°

Damn, these are stunners! 😍 One of these unique hearts with sand from the California coast was a special order. The others are up for grabs. I'm waiting for the customer to pick which one she wants, then I'll string it up into a beautiful necklace.
After that, I'll put one heart necklace on the website and send one to Made in Chico... if they even last that long. I'm definitely making more!

Slice, dice, repeat ✨ This is where the magic starts β€” cutting up fused glass before it ever gets close to becoming a necklace or a pair of earrings. Not the glamorous part, but definitely fun.... Until the saw breaks.πŸ‘Ž

Round two of the trash to treasure experiment πŸ‘€

This time the glass blurred together even more, exactly what I was hoping for. But it wasn't all smooth sailing... part of it cracked during the process.
Could be a few reasons why. Maybe it needed a longer annealing time, or maybe some of the glass types just weren't compatible with each other. Different glass has different COE (coefficient of expansion), basically how it heats, cools, and shrinks. When those rates don't match, cracks happen.
Still learning something new with every melt. That's the fun of it.

Scrap glass, meet second chance β™»οΈβœ¨
I took all my leftover glass pieces and melted them together to see what would happen with a kiln press. My little trash to treasure experiment!
Round one... didn't get as thin as I wanted. So close, but not quite there yet. Back to the kiln I go.
Stay tuned, because round two is coming and I've got a feeling it's going to be good πŸ‘€

Be bold. I am in love with this new shade of pinkish-purple glass, and I know I'll be using it a lot. It's even prettier in person, which I know is hard to believe. These beauties and a pair of Marias are now at Made In Chico!
