Wescott Jewelry is my hopeful leap into the beading business. I've worked at a bead shop for 10 years in a combination of brick-and-mortar and online retail situations, along with being a guest instructor at other local bead shops and I wanted a single place to share my work and events. I'm delighted to dream up patterns to share with fellow beaders and to craft unique, slow-made jewelry for folks. Anybody have any tips for cleaning a Bead on it Board? Mine is covered in the evidence of bead sacrifice 😔

Seriously, though, you should be considering bead durability when designing high-wear items like rings. Different bead colors, coatings, and finishes all have different durability ratings and sometimes you gotta break a few beads to see exactly what you’re working with. 🤨

If you know me at all, you know I have a bit of a love affair with doing little gradients in seed beads - especially with the Miyuki Alabaster Luster shades. Here I paired five of them in a color blend with some matte metallic blue-green Tila beads in one of my Ruched Tila Bracelets.

This bracelet actually sold already, but I wanted it to get a spot on the feed. I do have a pattern available for any beadweavers who want to learn this design!

Y’all know I hate doing Etsy listings, but even I hadn’t realized that I had procrastinated so hard that I went two years without listing any finished jewelry. I really should start working through the mountain of finished beadwork in my craft room.
