This custom Hollyhock Golden Seed Packet made its way all the way to Germany. 🇩🇪

Laura was deciding between two designs, and I think this one captured the feeling of hollyhocks in full bloom so beautifully.

They’ve held a special place in her heart ever since she first saw them in a cottage garden, and this year she had one bloom in her own garden for the first time!

The more of these flower pieces I make, the more I end up learning about the flowers themselves. I had no idea hollyhocks can grow 5 to 9 feet tall, come in shades from pink and red to white, purple, and almost black, and attract so many pollinators too. I love that.

A few new hand-picked sapphires have joined some longtime favorites, from soft teal and blue green to deeper blues.

These Montana sapphires. 🌿

While I was photographing this custom bracelet, I noticed how close their light teal green color was to the eucalyptus leaves. Completely unintentional, but I love those colors in nature that are almost impossible to describe exactly.

For this project, we used a chain she already owned and added Montana sapphires and diamonds to make it into something new.

Not every custom piece has to start from scratch. Sometimes it starts with something you already have and just don’t wear anymore.
