Born and raised in one of the most beautiful countries on earth, Costa Rica. I also have had the opportunity and blessing to live in amazing destinations in different parts of the world. P.R.China with my husband Andrés and our dog Nikko. In this beautiful island on the South China Sea is where my love and passion for pearls started to grow. Hainan is a small producer of some of the world's finest white South Sea pearls. I started developing an interest for the pearls, and bought a few as presents without really knowing the quality, but they were beautiful. These presents were a great success and friends started asking me to source pearls for them. Encouraged by their reception, I launched a small business re-selling the pearl jewelry made by the local women. Very soon after, customers started asking for specific designs, lengths, and colors. I studied the knotting technique of the local artisans while also training my eye for recognizing the good from the bad quality and expertly spotting fakes! I researched more about these beautiful gifts of the sea and became a CPPA Certified Pearl Specialist from the Culture Pearl Association of America. I'm very proud to have developed a great relationship with the women artisans, learning to communicate in their local language, helping to invest and engage with the local economy and champion these amazing hard working women. I started to designing my own jewelry, all of my pieces are bespoke, based on the requests and specifications of friends and clients, this has been a very rewarding experience. All my bespoke pieces are created within a balance of my creativity and the inspiration of my travels, My creations are one of a kind, elegant, modern and very versatile. As of July 2017 we have relocated to Brooklyn, New York, the place we now call home. I brought with me the passion, love, creativity and inspiration of all the exotic and amazing lands I had visited and I also continue to draw from the local & global community for inspiration for my work. I also love and have collaborated with non-profit organizations, creating signature jewelry for fundraising initiatives.

There is nothing quite like the energy of bringing the very first holiday commission of 2026 to life.
This breathtaking strand features a vibrant, hand-picked mix of natural Lapis Lazuli, Aquamarines, Quartz, Carnelian, and Bamboo Coral, accented beautifully with gold-filled findings and my signature, high-luster second-harvest pearls.
Besides the colors and the pop of the lustrous second harvests, its versatility makes it even more special. Thanks to the open-ended rings, it can be styled with your absolute favorite locks and own personal charms. In this case, the client paired the strand with a stunning baroque fireball pearl pendant to anchor the look, which the lucky recipient will easily be able to swap out and style with other pieces in her collection! (Remember, as a truly bespoke atelier, my strands can be finished un-knotted or individually hand-knotted, and can be crafted in your choice of 925 sterling silver, gold-filled, or solid 10k, 14k, and 18k gold to match your personal style and investment comfort. When we asked you to guess the year on my last post when that signature neck stack was styled, the majority guessed 2020. The truth? All those and these here custom pieces were photographed all the way back in 2019. 📢 HOW TO CLAIM: There is only two matching pearl components. No change la will be made these are already made. All I need to do iOS add the lever backs for the earrings or a jumpring if you prefer on the pendant.

I’ve been away for a while from social media due to life transitions, taking orders only from my closest clients, but I am trying to ease my way back into “pearl mode” with a first-time in the AL Traveling Pearls vault drop! ✨
While organizing my studio vault, I found a couple of absolute gorgeous bespoke treasures. Because I work on a commission basis, these rare, ready-made samples are a total one-time catch. Dropping TONIGHT at 8:30 PM CST / 5:30 PM PST! ⏳I’m wrapping up some photos of them right now and putting together a good deal for you guys (+ full flexible payment plans will be available!). Women’s Day. I have dedicated this day in past years’ posts to important women in my life. Today I want to hold space for ME and dedicate it to ME.

Like all women, I’ve been transformed by my own body — from my teens to my 50s — I have also been rebuilt by heartbreaks, broken loyalties, lost friendships, and the beloved ones who left this world taking a piece of me with them — all of which at some point cracked my heart open. Looking back — fewer times than I should — I have been surprised by my own strength, and today more than ever I am in awe of this magical body and brain we are born into.
I look at my life, my overall health, my tribe, and I think… I am so deeply blessed.
Grateful for my body that has been carrying me through every hard season. Grateful for the family that rooted me. Grateful for the friends who stayed. Grateful for the woman I’ve had the privilege of becoming.

Today, I celebrate me!
