Carrie’s Creations began out of frustration. About 3 and half years ago I had a baby girl named Isabella. As a mother of 2 rambunctious boys, I had been waiting for a little girl for quite some time. When she finally came I was over the moon. I instantly wanted to dress her in frilly tutus matching hair bows, and over the top girly girl clothing. When I went to the store I was shocked by the price

s, so I decided to go online and there again, the prices were astronomical. But like most moms, I sucked it up and bought it, because, after all, who can resist a pink and brown tutu with matching bow and diamonds? So everything was fine and things were going well, I’d pay for overpriced items, she would outgrow it too quickly and then we were ordering again. So, we were hit with a pretty big whammylast year. I lost my job of 15 years. With no money to spend on frivolous things, but still wanting “that look” I decided to research how to make the items I so desperately wanted. I was so pleased with the result I went on to other things, and so the idea of making affordable high end items in adjustable sizes came alive. I am so excited to share this journey with you and am open to any suggestions. All of my items are 100% customizable and are only limited by your creativity. Think Holidays, Birthdays, Baby Showers, Family Functions, Photo Ops, First Day of School, Bachelorette Parties, and in my case Any day that ends in Y. I make custom creations for your little cuties and am loving every minute of it.

Whitehouse gingerbread cookie recipe

1 cup of granulated sugar
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1/2 cup of shortening
1 1/2 teaspoons molasses
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 tablespoon ginger
3 cups of flour

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes

Royal icing recipe

3 tablespoons meringue powder
4 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons warm water

Mix on low for 7 minutes
