HEIRLOOM WEDDING RING RESCUED FROM ISAIAS!!🌊🌊

Nevin along with several of his surfing buddies were taking advantage of some great waves generated by the storm. Just before he entered the water, Nevin realized that he was still wearing his wedding ring which had been custom made for his great-grandfather and passed down to him. Although he had the ring resized to fit his finger, he had recently lost a little weight so it was slightly loose. Nevin decided that it should be fine to surf for a while but unfortunately he came off of his board head first a few minutes later and felt the heavy gold ring slip off of his finger into the water! Nevin tried to find the ring by sight and by sifting through the sand with his feet but was unable to retrieve it. Afterwards, he found me online through a Google search so we planned to meet onsite the following afternoon. At that time, Nevin took me to the place in the waist to chest deep water where he felt the ring came off and I began to search. The water was relatively smooth but every few minutes there were large swells that were breaking in the search area. After about an hour, I had found only three fishing weights but Nevin directed me back to an area only about 10 or 15 feet away from where I had been and said he believed this was where he fell off his board. After a few minutes of searching there, I got a very promising signal on my Minelab Equinox 900 detector and began to try to scoop the target out of the sandy bottom which was difficult at times with the wave action. On about my fourth attempt, I saw Nevin’s ring in the bottom of the scoop! I looked over at Nevin and smiled and he had this shocked look on his face which is the expression I am used to with these ring recoveries. We walked out of the water and Nevin called his wife Kaycee to give her the wonderful news.
Nevin, thank you for trusting me to find your precious wedding ring, your review of my service on my page and a very generous reward!🙌✝️😎

Amber messaged me to tell me that her husband Adam had lost a very special ring in their back yard while he was trimming tree branches. She had found out about my free metal detecting service through a local social media page after they had searched their small back yard for hours including receiving help from another person with a metal detector. The silver ring was special because it contained some of Adam’s mother’s ashes as well as her fingerprint! I met Adam and Amber that same afternoon and began to search. Adam had been wearing gloves as he trimmed the branches but said he had removed them near the end of his work as he pulled some of the branches to the other side of the yard. I began the search close to the trees and worked my way over towards the branch pile. After about an hour I had not been able to recover the silver ring which would produce a strong signal. I then worked my way over a little closer to their concrete deck, lowering my detector sensitivity a bit so it wouldn’t receive as strong a signal from the rebar in the concrete that might mask a signal from the ring. And there I found Adam’s precious ring!!

Recently Chris was practicing his short game and putting at the Dunedin Golf Club putting green. Several times during his practice he took his cell phone out of the back pocket of his shorts to use it. As Chris was getting ready to leave he remembered that he had also taken off his wedding ring and placed it in the same back pocket and it was no longer there. Every time he had taken the phone out, the pocket had been turned inside out so the ring at some point must have come out and settled somewhere in the grass around the green. Chris searched the area several times but could not locate his wedding ring. Chris and one of his golfing buddies Nate began searching for metal detecting services online, Nate found me on social media and called me to tell me what happened. I told him to have Chris call me to set up a search which we did the next morning. I received permission from golf pro John and after about a five minute search under Chris’s direction I got a promising signal on my Minelab Equinox 900 detector, pushed aside the grass, and there was Chris’s wedding ring! Before I pulled the ring out of the grass, I looked over at Chris who was standing about 10 feet away and I said “well Chris, it looks like you are getting your ring back”. I called him over to look and he was mildly shocked and elated at the same time! I told Chris that even though I was blessed with about 75 recoveries of rings and other jewelry that the find and return of these precious items never got old for me. Chris, thank you for trusting the Dunedin Ring Finder to find your wedding ring!

Recently, Crissy’s son Alex was visiting Honeymoon Island State Park with some friends. As they were wrestling out in the water, he lost a precious dog tag that had been attached to a necklace. The tag had photos of a younger Alex with his birth mother who had passed away some time ago on the front and back. Crissy reported the lost item on a local social media page including the area where it was lost and several people referred me. I searched for about an hour or so in the water and after some effort was able get my detector over the target and scoop the dog tag out of the sandy bottom where it ended up being deeper than I thought it would be! I messaged Crissy with the good news and mailed the dog tag back to her.

Also, thanks to fellow detectorist EJ who uses a comparable metal detector and provided me with appropriate display numbers to look for when searching for a dog tag. 😎

A few months ago Isaiah was hitting golf balls into a lake behind his girlfriend’s backyard. On one of his backswings, he felt his gold Cuban link bracelet break and fly off his wrist. Isaiah with the help of his girlfriend Reaves searched the area of the backyard where he thought the bracelet landed and when he couldn’t find it by sight, purchased a metal detector to help in the search. When he was still unable to find his bracelet, Isaiah found my contact info online and after he provided me some details, we set up a search. When I arrived Isaiah was at work but Reaves showed me the area of the yard where they believed the bracelet had landed. I searched the thick St Augustine grass for about an hour with my detector but was unable to find the target. I decided to extend the search area back towards the house assuming that the bracelet may have flown further back when it broke on his backswing. After about another 30 minutes of grid searching I detected a promising service target. I pushed aside the grass with my handheld pinpointer and saw a small piece of the bracelet already intertwined in the grass roots! Reaves had gone inside the house a few minutes before so I left the bracelet as I found it, walked back to the house to get Reaves and brought her back to the spot. I pushed aside the grass so she could “find” the bracelet and she said “you found it!” I let Reaves very gently pull out the bracelet from the grass because it had almost become root bound! We called Isaiah with the good news and obviously he was very happy to get his bracelet back on his wrist! ✝️🙌😎

This is such an amazing story!!✝️🙌😎

Ann contacted me to let me know that her visiting brother Royal had lost his wedding band at Honeymoon Island State Park. He had placed his ring, telephone and wallet in the side pocket of the car door for safekeeping, then decided to pull his telephone and wallet out of the pocket to place them out of sight into the center console, and believed that his ring fell out into the parking lot in the process. Royal and Ann checked the park lost and found and park personnel referred them to me for help. Royal was certain that he had not taken the ring to the beach where I could search with my detector and they searched the parking lot several times. I also recommended that they check with the sheriff’s department lost and found.

Two days later, I received a message from Stephanie who told me that her husband John had lost his wedding band at Honeymoon in almost the same spot in the water where he had lost it about a year ago and I had found it for him! I searched for John’s ring while he and his family were still at the beach and could not find his ring but I did find another man’s wedding band after they left. The next day when I was searching for John’s ring again, I met Ann and Royal who recognized me out in the water. Royal told me that he and his sister had come to this same area of the beach several days before when he lost his ring. When I told Royal that I had found another wedding band near where we were standing in the water he was still certain that he had not taken his ring onto the beach. The next day I was talking to my wife Jan about the ring I had found and that Royal had told me that his ring had several very small borders of beads bordering both edges. After taking a closer look at the ring that I had found under magnification I realized that the ring seem to match Royal’s description. I then texted Royal to ask him if he could send me a photo of his ring which he did later and after a close comparison we were sure we had a match! It seems that while looking for John’s ring in the same area where he had lost it almost a year before, I found Royal’s ring which he had lost a few days before in the water where he was sure he had not taken it!! Apparently he either put it back on his finger or in his pocket before going onto the beach and into the water. When I told Ann and Royal she said they were “gobsmacked” but when I returned the ring to Royal I told them we were all “God smacked”!!! Hopefully He will lead me back to John’s ring too! Stay tuned…🙏🤞😎

I had just recovered a wedding ring from the water for Hayley recently and was leaving the beach with my detecting buddy Jim Facinelli when a person told us that someone needed our help in finding a lost ring. We found out that Aidan had placed a beautiful gold ring given to him by his grandfather on a cooler and when someone opened the cooler the ring flipped off into the sand. I still had my equipment on so I began to detect around the cooler and after about a minute I received a strong, promising signal. Then I saw a small part of Aidan’s ring barely showing out of the sand! He was very happy to get it back!🙏✝️🙌😎
