This is what I’ve been trying to state through my most recent posts about negotiating my art form, WHICH is JEWELRY

Most people don’t think of JEWELRY as an ART FORM!
For me it is the ancient Process I choose to use and make OOAK Small Batch Jewelry.

A Journey in my art pieces Tells a Story about Nature and how it foraged and made.
I have had clients that may buy a leaf & to them it’s part of their Heritage for ex: the Norwegian Leaf.

Or it reminds them of someone who’s passed on, or captures their woodland peace and serenity. And most of all Symbolic!

The thing about jewelry it also brings meaning and can be a family Heirloom that carries stories through generations.

Otherwise, it’s just stones and metal.

Once it’s created it is ART and meaningful interpretation to My Clients 💕⚒️

Still keep going on. Not giving up. Amoung the pain. Besides the level of Pain, not gonna lie … Definitely a scary situation.

Out of the 20+ yrs of ladysmithing. I never burnt myself. Until this year.

Rushing to get things done is the Culprit.

Please do NOT ask to NEGOTIATE my artwork, unless you’re willing to play with 🔥 FIRE….
& Take the Risk of getting BURNED 🔥

Or other serious injuries ….EX:: a saw blade stuck in your finger!

I’ve seen that happen and u can’t just pull it out. The TEETH of the Blade are in opposing direction to get it out….
SO… it would be Pretty GORY if a professional doesn’t take it out. Mega ouch!!!

Botanical Jewelry that I Create using ancient techniques like LOST WAX CASTING is a Skill Set, that takes patience & years to Master.

My Solid Silver Pinecones, took a Year to master them into good solid sturdy quality.

Besides being a Mad Scientist in a Jewelry Lab….It is ART. More than,…. “just jewelry “.

I have vended so many times not making back my table$$ or ending up lowering my prices to to get some$$ from the show.

Which the next day I’m like , that wasn’t worth it even in materials. Forget per hr ! Haaahaa

Lost wax - just the BURN OUT in Kiln is 13 hours & that”s the EASY Part!

It doesn’t Account for other steps or carving from wax with dental tools over an oil lamp with a wick.

No gadgets here🙋‍♀️.
I prefer a PURITAN approach.
The craftsmanship and process.

I don’t have many tools or gadgets even in my studio just basic tools and cheapest saw.

Ever get a plant and the pot is way tooo small?
My botanical jewelry started with succulents. Then I needed more succulents! So I started getting into propagating. Now o have a Jungke in my house!

Including 5 Monsteras.
2 to the ceiling and 2 that I combined. So now 4.

This one I’m sizing up from the pot it it was sold in.
