More pics from the Lloyd harbor project (got rot) I couldn't feel worse for my amazing clients. They bought this house (9 yrs ago)with no idea how many issues there. We did a beautiful bathroom project for them earlier this year. While there they asked me to check on the sliding doors that would barely open. They were supper drafty as well. When we went to remove the doors and full length windows we immediately noticed the water damage. The house was crushing the rotting box beam which was part of the reason the door would not operate properly. This could have all been avoided if the builder used good subcontractors or even checked on their work. He did neither. No flashing was the major cause of the issue. The framer is also responsible because they bent the termite shield up instead of down basically catching all the water.

This weeks got rot? Of course we do. When a builder hires the cheapest framer, then that framer does not teach his guys how to frame. Then you add the genius sprinkler guys who have heads spray the house. You get rot. 3 million dollar house rotting because low bid got the job.

That's a wrap. We just finished up this back yard transformation from a dysfunctional multi level deck with really weird layout and no shade. To a beautiful functional deck and patio with pergola. They have a area to just relax and unwind, grill, dining area and of course a beautiful spot of the master to enjoy the beautiful back yard. The new deck and materials work so much better with the homes astetics then the white rails and composite decking. This project is for truly amazing repeat customers. We Stay busy by exceeding customer expectations with excellent customer service, quality craftsmanship and bring great value. Let us know how we can help with your future projects. Lic 28143h

We love to work local. Here are some updates and behind the scenes pics of the portico rebuild we are doing in Northport village for an amazing family. The original structure and stone work was in terrible Shape and needed to be rebuilt. We are big on preserving the original home as much as possible and keeping the details historically correct. The guys at Koran Landscape Services built a great new base and we jacked the structure back to level. The old framing was out of level and actually was not a true 1/2 circle. Years of settling made it oblong. We fixed the framing, fascia, crown and had new mahogany t&g beadboard made to match the existing 100 yr old material. The new columns will go in after the stone work is complete. We also had to jack up the front due to rot (no flashing at door). Thank you to our loyal Silver Fox family customers for their repeated trust in us to make their homes beautiful again.
