Hi All, one of our favorite customers is selling their summer house in Montauk. It's .88 acres 4 bedroom 3.5 bath, mahogany deck, outdoor shower. 10 yr old roof, new septic, ac, walk to the lake. We wrapped up these 2 kitchens this week. It's a parent /daughter duo. We removed the oak cabinets from the parents home to update the kitchen to the new white and blue shaker cabinets. They asked if we could possibly put the saved cabinets in their daughter's home. After measuring and coming up with a layout that would work we built a custom cabinet on site to match. Made new plant molding and had custom oak crown made to match. Some of it was tricky but it came out great and saved the customer probably around 30k on all new cabinets.

Hey look another nightmare waiting to happen. Even if these homeowners are lucky to live where there is no snow. there is no way the water wont rot out the side of the house eventually. aside from other stuff that is wrong. Be sure to use a good architect or engineer before starting a project. They can save you thousands of future headaches and $$$$

This is a cruel joke by some idiot who has no understanding of flashing. He will absolutely ruin this house.

It’s what’s underneath that counts! We’re ensuring this deck is built to last by using helical piers for a rock-solid foundation and proper flashing to protect the ledger board. Structural integrity and high-end finishing are our top priorities.

This is a special piece of wood.

In case you didn't think the picture of this curly Old Growth Redwood I posted a couple days ago in the sunlight wasn't cool enough, I spent almost 2 hours counting annular rings today 😅

Edit: This being from an Old Growth giant Redwood that was 20' diameter means this was just 1/10 of the stump. No log center to start from on this chunk, so the age has not been doubled from counting rings twice and there are actually rings I didn't count.
