Tonight, the POP Family had the opportunity to come together and support one of our own, mentor Willie 'SoFocused' McCalebb, at his first home game with the Eau Claire Axemen!

A huge thank you to Dr. Michael Kuban for blessing us with great tickets and providing us with the opportunity to become a sponsor. We truly appreciate your generosity and support.

While the Eau Claire Axemen - The Arena League Football came up a little short on the scoreboard tonight, one thing was clear—the team played with heart, determination, and passion from the opening kickoff until the final whistle. The POP Family was grateful to be in attendance, cheering them on every step of the way.

At POP, we believe that when you have great people on your team, you show up for them. Support doesn’t only happen during mentoring sessions or meetings—it happens by being present, encouraging one another, and celebrating each other’s journeys.

Willie, we are incredibly proud of you. Your leadership, character, and sportsmanship were on full display tonight. You continue to set a powerful example for our mentees and community both on and off the field.

Congratulations on your first home game, and know that your POP Family will continue to support you every step of the way! 🏈❤️🖤❤️🖤🏈

We are incredibly grateful to The Pablo Foundation for their generous grant support of Power of Perception, Inc.!❤️🖤

This investment in our mission will help us continue creating meaningful mentoring opportunities, empowering youth, and expanding our impact throughout the community. As POP continues to grow, we are excited to begin serving elementary schools in the near future, allowing us to reach students earlier and help build confidence, leadership, and positive relationships from a young age.

Partnerships like this make a lasting difference. Thank you to the Pablo Foundation for believing in our vision and helping us create more opportunities for the next generation of leaders.

Together, we are making an impact—one student, one relationship, and one community at a time. Thank you for write up Volume One‼️😁❤️🖤❤️🖤😁

In its May 22 grants and financial gifting announcement, The Pablo Foundation acknowledged its nearly $600,000 total funding dispersal may not have funded “every request” it received – but it’s another significant step in supporting the wider community.

A dozen area organizations were awarded – grants ranged from $14K to over $100K, totaling $577,425 in funding – through the Pablo Foundation’s annual Spring Grant Cycle.

Since its founding in 2017, the Pablo Foundation has gifted over $20 million to area organizations (largely across its four main focus areas: health, housing, education and the arts). In 2024 alone, it gifted almost $4 million and introduced a new initiative: the Nonprofit Empowerment Workshop (NEW) Series.

🎶❤️🖤POP Ally Spotlight ❤️🖤🎶

Today, we are proud to recognize Mr. Dominic Domeyer, Band Teacher at Eau Claire Memorial High School, who was nominated as a POP Ally by one of our ECASD District Wide chapter mentees, Juhvaya.

Juhvaya had the opportunity to honor Mr. Domeyer today at Memorial, and her reason for nominating him speaks volumes about the impact educators can have on the lives of young people:

“He makes me feel safe and he is a great music teacher. I really look up to him!”

At POP, we believe every young person deserves caring adults in their corner who help them feel seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Mr. Domeyer’s positive influence and commitment to his students have clearly made a lasting impression on Juhvaya, and we are grateful for the role he plays in her educational journey.

Thank you, Mr. Domeyer, for creating a safe and welcoming environment, for sharing your passion for music, and for being a positive role model for our youth.

👏 Congratulations on being recognized as a POP Ally and thank you for making a difference!😁❤️🖤❤️🖤😁

May was a busy and productive month for the POP team, and we are incredibly grateful for every opportunity that came our way. One of the highlights was having the privilege of speaking at the C.C. WE ADAPT Conference.

We are thankful for the opportunity to share the story, mission, and impact that POP continues to make throughout the greater Eau Claire community. Moments like these allow us to connect with others, inspire change, and showcase the power of mentorship, leadership, and community engagement.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our work and believe in the vision. We look forward to continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of our youth and families.😁❤️🖤❤️🖤😁

Last Thursday, May 21st, marked our final mentoring session for the academic school year with our Sherman Elementary School chapter, and we definitely ended things on a great note! ❤️🖤

Our mentees had the opportunity to sit back, relax, and enjoy the “Piece By Piece” Pharrell Williams LEGO movie together. We also made sure everyone was fed with pizza, snacks, water, juice, and some amazing donated popcorn from Micon Theater 🍕🍿

A HUGE shoutout goes to Ms. Lauren at Sherman Elementary for all of her hard work and dedication throughout the school year. From making sure rooms were reserved, sessions ran smoothly, and mentees were present each time, she truly helped make this partnership successful. We couldn’t ask for a better liaison, and we appreciate everything she has done for our youth and program this year!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this school year meaningful. We’re already looking forward to what’s ahead! 😁❤️🖤❤️🖤😁

Sunday’s End Of The Year BBQ for our P.O.P. ECASD District Wide Chapter Family was definitely one for the books! ☀️🔥🍔

When I say we THREW DOWN on the grill…we THREW DOWN! 😂 The food spread was CRAZY and let’s just say…there were NO leftovers lol! Just to name a few, we had hamburgers, hotdogs, brats, jerk wings, dry rub wings, meatballs, fruit, donuts (not your regular donuts either 👀😂), and banana pudding that didn’t stand a chance at all!

The mentees had an amazing time riding the four wheelers, scooters & kid vehicles, jumping in the bouncy house, and cooling off getting wet in the heat. Nothing but smiles, laughs, and good energy all day long.

The adults got active too! From throwing bags, playing spades, dominoes, and even bringing out the Nintendo Switch, the fellowship and vibes were unmatched. You could definitely tell summer is officially here! ☀️

What made it even more special was seeing the local neighbors come through, fellowship with us, bless the function with good eats and basketball, and turn the whole event into a mini block party/community celebration. Moments like this remind us what P.O.P. is truly about — family, community, love, mentorship, and togetherness.

Even some P.O.P. alumni who were back in town from college stopped by from near and far, and it was truly an honor seeing everyone reunited again. P.O.P. is more than a program — it’s a growing family, and moments like this show just how special our bond really is.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, brought positive energy, food, games, laughter, and helped make this a beautiful way to close out the school year. ❤️🖤❤️🖤

This past Thursday, our P.O.P. Future Leaders mentoring session with our Putnam Heights Elementary School chapter was a great way to close out the academic school year! 💙💛❤️🖤

Our mentees took part in a fun and creative team-building activity where they worked together to build LEGO creations completely in silence. 🧱🤝 The activity challenged communication, patience, leadership, and teamwork — and the mentees truly enjoyed every moment of it!

We were also proud to have a few of our older mentees from the P.O.P. ECASD District Wide chapter come out and help mentor and support the younger students throughout the session. Seeing our youth lead by example is what P.O.P. is all about! 👏🏾

Lunch, snacks, chips, water, and juice were provided, and there will also be plenty of team-building prizes given out to celebrate the hard work and participation from our mentees. 🎉

Although this was our final session for the school year, we are already excited to bring the program back even stronger next school year. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year successful for our Future Leaders! 😁❤️🖤❤️🖤😁

Tonight was truly a full circle moment for the POP Family. Watching Jerry, Taviah & Adalynn walk across that graduation stage hit different because these three have been part of POP since day one. From growing together through the years, building relationships, overcoming challenges, creating memories, and even traveling together on our South Africa trip in 2023 — we’ve had the privilege of witnessing their journey firsthand. 🌍🎓❤️🖤❤️🖤 🌍🎓

Seeing them step into this next chapter made the entire team proud beyond words. These aren’t just students to us, they are family. The growth, leadership, resilience, and maturity they’ve shown over the years has been amazing to watch.

This season has been filled with so many accomplishments across the board, and tonight was another reminder of why we do this work. To see our young people winning, graduating, and preparing for their futures is a blessing.

Jerry, Taviah & Adalynn — thank you for allowing POP to be part of your journey. We love y’all, we’re proud of y’all, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for each of you. The best is still ahead. 🎓😁❤️🖤❤️🖤🎓😁
