A little update from Crypticon.

As many of you may already know, my husband and I travel and do many of our shows together.

When we signed up to display our work at this event, we signed up and paid for a 10x20 space. This should have ensured that we would be next to each other. We do these shows just the two of us, so it’s nice to support each other and have help with bathroom breaks or in instances like this.

For some reason, when we arrived, we had two separate spaces with the same room. But I’m far enough away that I can’t help on this situation so we’ve had to implement the honor system.

Instead of taking down his booth and removing all his hard work, I’ve decided to trust the people that have shown him so much love the last few years. And so far it’s working. I’ve had many people find me down the hall and pay for items and tell me how much they love his work and to send well wishes.

I’m seeing the Venmo’s and PayPal payments come through in his email and we are definitely feeling the love from everyone here.

And update on Perry. He is home but still in pain. They weren’t able to help him in the ER and it seems we are gonna have to fight for a solution on this one. It’s hard to say what’s really happening but he has a lot of head and jaw pain. Maybe a sinus thing or inner ear thing? He’s been in pain for months and we are now at the point of breaking. He can’t get relief.

He will talk to his doctor again on Monday and hopefully we can move in the direction of answers and recovery.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out and wished him well and to all the people at Crypticon who have purchased his work while he is away. And many apologies to anyone that saw him on Friday. He wasn’t his true self as was delirious in pain.

We have one more day here at the Crowne Plaza in Plymouth, MN and I’ll be here will my copper items and tending to his stuff when I can.

Bone art is coming with me to The World Oddities Expo in Milwaukee this weekend!

These bones are painted with a copper paint with copper particles, allowing the bones to naturally patina over time.
