I want to share a recent experience to help others avoid falling into a similar trap.

A buyer claimed they had sent payment via Zelle and insisted the money had already been deducted from their account. However, I never received the usual confirmation text I always get when a payment goes through. Minutes passed, and still nothing showed up.

The person became increasingly pushy and urged me to call a โ€œsupport numberโ€ they provided. That immediately raised a red flag.

To be safe, I contacted my bank and Zelle directly. They confirmed there was no pending or completed transaction on my account. Iโ€™ve reported and flagged the phone number and the individual involved.

๐Ÿšฉ Key warning signs:
* No payment confirmation on your end
* Buyer insists payment was sent despite no proof
* Pressure to call an unfamiliar โ€œsupportโ€ number
* Urgency or pushy behavior
