Once again, I pulled the sentiment before even deciding what journal I was going to work in. Then, this beautiful page evolved.

The video for this October Finding the Words art journal page is on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/M8dFwxzv7rI

Also, shoutout to Sigita for the inspiration to stitch right onto a vintage photo!

Now I’ve gone and done it. I’ve actually listed several packs of buttons on Etsy. Can you believe it??

These 3oz packs are a vintage mix of buttons I know I’d probably never get around to using. But YOU might!

I’ve been a mixed bag of emotions the last several days: so very thankful that the impact of the storm was mild here while also quite concerned for those who did get the brunt of it. My thoughts and prayers are with those to the East of us.

With all that on my mind, I’ve just tried to stay busy. Yesterday, that busy-ness included picking up this new-to-me dresser and finally moving my altered “apothecary” cabinet into my office. So far, I’ve started stocking the dresser drawers and am looking forward to filling up all those little ones too.

Thanks to all of you who reached out to me.

In our prepping for Hurricane 🌀 Isaias, I completely forgot that a new video was going up. But, I did make some fun finds out in the yard as we covered the pool and put up outside furniture.

Here’s a frog that seems to be hunkering down for the storm.

This blue-green mushroom was toppled over in the grass after someone had been munching on it.

Also in the grass was this paper wasp nest that I couldn’t resist scooping up for my own collection.

Oh, here’s a sneaky peek at just some of what I hauled home and share in the video on YouTube.

These babies made their way to Hello Gallery Art & Things yesterday (one even sold before I got it on the wall!)

I’ve got a ton of other assemblage art, cards, and jewelry available there. Go check it out!!

Just needed a bit of play to start the day. I don’t know why I don’t do this every morning. (Or at least more often.)

A new art journal page for the (from Nina Fickett) is done!

The prompt was to get inspired by the work of another artist…so I scrolled through my saved images on IG and picked a piece from Tina Hois that called out to me.

Head over to YouTube to watch: https://youtu.be/wCdoEMYp0CE

You know those incense-burned paper ghosts I made? At least one of them made it onto a Halloween card that’s now available at Hello Gallery Art & Things along with a few other cards and lots of fun, seasonal earrings.

Oh, and this Friday is First Friday Artwalk, so the gallery will be open until 8!

Go grab your spooky season supplies. 🦇👻🎃💀🧙‍♀️

Inspiration Trove Assemblage time (finally!)

This beast of a project took me a while to work through. The video (available on YouTube) starts off a bit slow, but then speeds through the process. Rest assured, I hit the highlights. So, head over there to learn more about how this piece evolved: https://youtu.be/dD7sNWZF6Rw
