Finders Keepers earrings featuring found shells and stones from my travels.

Put inside these cute little display cases given to me a couple years ago. 😁😂

Anyhow I painted (quite imperfectly) them matte black and they hold these quite perfectly.

Matte black quick paint up for a couple cute display boxes a friend gave me. This is one of those, "been sittin'" tiny projects that I crossed off the 'ol list.

Filled with about 25 pair of my Finders Keepers earrings. Probably have 15 more pair in progress. Think Ill switch gears again though.

Its time to get back to thw "clear the bench" game. I have a small stack of in progress that I needed to set aside to take care of house stuff or because I was waiting on materials.
See next post to see how this little project turned out. ❤️🏞

Octopus ring with blue green tournament set in 14k gold and using (keum-boo, kumboo, kum-boo) an ancient Korean technique of using heat and 23k gold in thin layers.

This ring will look amazing with wear. Gold and silver in particular look so much better with wear, I think. It brings out the highlights and emphasizes the low points, brings out the brilliance of the metal. The patina plus the gold should make this piece get more fab as time goes on.

Made for a special person in the sciences, oceanography specifically. ha, makes sense. ❤️🐙🌊🐠🐟🦈🐡🪼

This tourmaline is about ready to be set, just fussing with the bezel cup. Handmade sterling silver ring and octopus with gold fusing into the band and 14k gold tube set tourmaline.

Octopus ring, needs a polish and then I'll set the tourmaline into this gold bezel.

What to do with "the littles" or the bits of beautiful stone that is smaller or rawer? Here's a trove of tumbled and just found stones that I use in my jewelry. The raw bits that are very small sometimes find their way to my Finder Keepers earring collection. Its ongoing when I feel like changing pace or have collected *too* much. 😁🙄😂

Often shells are used (like a bunch I foraged for in NY of all places or Jupiter Florida) or small agates I find in the local rivers. Sometimes the local Oregon coastline serves up fun things to incorporate.

I also like doing these because I typically dont use precious metal chain etc and utilize a lot of found material. Which makes the price point much lower. Anyhow Im working up a big batch and they usually go pretty fast. I'll be posting through the process a bit though. ♥️🏞

Some fabulous opal beads that have been starting at me hard. Sometimes the issue is that I just want to pull them out, take them in the sun and wiggle them about.

Rather than make something (earrings upcoming) and /or selling them.

In my heart: I am a 🐲, like Smaug sitting on Dwarf gold. 😊😁

But, I think its time. ❤️

Ive been waiting for these to finish a some things. What I had just wasn't small enough and Im not a faceter. Whole other ball of wax made for more meticulous people than I. 😘🤣

Got a screaming good deal so I got extras. Ive always loved candy colors. Everyone who knows me would agree that I am...colorful. ha
Getting back into my studio mode. Lots of mega projects on the house lately have taken all free time.
