Finally got around to hanging up these name pennants I made. The fabric is Liberty Tana Lawn from Japan that features Peter Rabbit in blue and green. I used beautiful blue velvet ribbon from to string the pennants between two bows.



Foundation Paper Piece letters: (gave my pennants a round edge)

Fairytale Forest - Month One done ✅

My thoughts and tips: I love FPP because of how precise it is. I only stitched to the edge of the finished size and not into the seam allowance and it was much easier to take the paper off.

I also used a 1.8 stitch length which helped the paper perforate better and didn’t leave much gap between the fabric once the paper was gone.

I am a stingy girl so my main goal was to use the bare minimum of fabric so I cut all my pieces into 4” strips (backing and the smaller cuts of prints) and was able to flip the pieces 180 to use every available portion. I had to be careful with some of the directional prints but I have a huge amount of prints left over from just this first box. Stay tuned to see what I’m going to do with them 😈

My best friend in this has been my little light table that I typically use for tracing or lining up home-printed patterns. I used it to line up my pieces so I didn’t waste too much fabric in the seam allowances.

Can’t wait to break into the next box! Gonna try and finish this up before I can order the Liberty of London store quilt that premiered at QuiltCon 😜
