Meet the real “Charisma” behind the brand. While I’m busy cutting leather and setting stones, the Studio Manager is busy making sure the workbench stays sufficiently occupied (and that no stray cord goes un-patted).

There’s something about having a companion in the studio that makes the long hours of crafting feel a little more magical. Even if their primary contribution is “tactical napping” on my latest project.

Jewelry bench alert ‼️ It’s been a while since my jewelry bench has been up and running. Due to a variety of life circumstances, including Covid, I haven’t really felt much like making jewelry or silversmithing. After a while, if you know, we get in our heads and tell ourselves that nobody really wants that thing that we’re making and that, if no one buys the thing, it’s not good enough to make. Then God put someone in your path to pick you up and remind you that the skills He’s given you are for good and that He’s made you to be creative. Even though it’s been a while since I’ve made a pair of earrings, it feels really good to get back at the bench and be creative and make beautiful pieces again.

And whether anybody buys my jewelry, or I just give it away as gifts, I really want to start making jewelry again. As a business owner, I really do hope people want to buy my jewelry. But I think creating for the sheer joy of seeing the beauty that results and following the process it takes to get there is worth more than anything.

I hope this post might encourage you a little bit, if you are struggling with not feeling adequate. God loves you! And I love you! Keep doing that thing that makes you happy, using those gifts He gave you for Good!
