RIP Mr. Armin Strom (12-06-2024)

Armin Strom was a watchmaking pioneer. At the age of 29, in 1967, he opened his own clock store in Burgdorf, Switzerland. He became a pioneer in the skeletonization and decoration of watches.

1984 - His first exhibit at Basel Fair
1990 - Recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records for
creating the smallest hand skeletonized movement
2006 - Sold majority stake of company
2010 - Debuted first watch with an in-house movement as BaselWorld

Armin Strom produces roughly 1000 watches per year with features such as tourbillons, resonating balance wheels, and a minute repeater. All with 22 employees.
