Everyone’s doing it so I might as well too. Just dug through the archives of my life to see what was happening in 2016
1. Mr Little Fox and I took a whirlwind 24hr trip to DC for sight seeing and a magical concert at the Kennedy Center. It’s the night we learned the difference between Uber and Uber Pool
2. Little Fox was a fledging business. This is the first mini skein sampler we ever made
3. I sometimes miss my long hair.
4. I spent many hours happily knitting next to my soulmate (the original little Fox) Rosie 🩵
5. I still had a separate office for my interior design business but was more interested in finding perfect color combinations
6. Which helped inspire to design her Camp Wilkerson wrap. I still love it a decade later.
7. Like I said, Rosie was my ride or die 🩵
8. I also dipped my toe in the knitwear design pool. This is Woven Lines. I should reknit this in a current base for the 2020s 🤔

My gorgeous friend has released her Maine Coast Shawl to the public today and I could not be more thrilled. Knit in our Willow base it seems to capture all the things I love able shawls.
1. STRIPES! Y’all know I love anything with stripes
2. Classic design with a little twist. It’s not overly complicated but has enough interest to make it a little special
3. Willow is the perfect yarn for something light and cozy to wear when the air starts to feel crisp (aren’t we all ready for those days right now?!)

Now what colors to choose?? Alicia knit hers with (two skeins) Major Tom as the MC and (1 skein) Mallow as the CC which honestly is perfection but I lots more ideas percolating. 😁 Willow is currently Dye to Order in the show so get exactly what you want!

Here we are just over halfway through the year and here is how our Fox in Sox Wes Anderson inspired collection is going. It was a happy surprise to get to see them all line up together for the first time one day last week.

On my way home from a long weekend with my Sister and Nieces. I’ve carried this project all weekend and this is the first stitches I’ve made since I left Richmond 🤷‍♀️

This Mother’s Day has been unexpectedly hard. As an adult it’s always been a bit weird, not being a mother myself since it’s such an expected part of life. Most people don’t know what to say when they realize I’m childless. Particularly now that I’m past the age of making that happen.
I lost my own sweet Mama a few weeks ago after a devastating decline suffering from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. It’s a rare and unyielding disease that we had never heard of before (you probably haven’t either) until the Dr said it out loud and we finally had an answer to the bewildering set of symptoms that had been plaguing her for a few years at that point.
We celebrated my Mom yesterday with a gathering of family and friends, with a pot luck meal afterwards. My sister, Alison and I decorated the tables with flowers we cut from the side of the road and from her yard. She would have been proud. She loved wildflowers and as Alison said, should would have appreciated our thriftiness. She was the best Mama. 🤍

It’s release day for Mayberry Mitts by ! Megan created these lined(!) mittens using our Vixen and Nuages bases to make these easy to knit yet luxurious mittens. I know Spring is just around the corner but the way the wind is whipping around outside today I could sure use a pair myself! ♥️
Yarn shown is Vixen in Petal and Nuages in Squirrel. I’m really in love with this color combo too!
