“Threat of Joy” is a powerful and inspiring exhibition organized by the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston’s Teacher Advisory Group (TAG); now in its fourth cohort.

This collaborative show features artwork by both students and educators, exploring themes of joy as a form of rebellion. Through vibrant expression, the work stands against oppression, honors creativity in moments of low motivation, and reminds us to choose joy even when the weight of the world feels overwhelming.
